Disney honeymooners

I was wondering where you stayed and what kind of package you got. We want to go to Disney and trying to see what kind of package to get.

Thanks

Re: Disney honeymooners

me me me.

Had a blast.

I would NOT EVER EVER EVER recommend using I n & Out Travel, my travel agent for this trip.

Personally, I should have used AAA.

We stayed 8 days and 9 nights in Port Orleans French Quarter (even though I n & Out got that wrong, I fixed it).

We had a great room, really comfy (even though thanks to I n & Out it was a parking lot view, there were plenty of gardens old New Orleans style)

We were a boat ride from Downtown Disney or Port Orleans Riverside Resort

We got a 5 day hopper (Any 5 days I could go into the parks - any of the parks - as many times as I wanted) That was plenty for us!

Transfers to Busch Gardens and Universal (which again, thanks to I n & Out Travel was USELESS since they never got us our tickets to universal). We ended up renting a car anyway.

We did get tickets to Busch Gardens
Tickets to Wonder Works
Tickets to a Murder Mystery Dinner

WITHOUT the car rental, WITHOUT the airfare (again thanks to In & Out Travel that was messed up for us, we only had transpo down to Orlando, not home), WITHOUT tickets to Universal (which we had to buy separately)...
it was $2016

EDIT: AIRFARE - Because we could not secure round trip tickets (it was too early?) we had to wait for return ticket prices. When those prices came back, we (Jim & I) felt they were too expensive as it was cheaper to rent a car one way for 3 days and drive home ($222 was the total cost of the car). We also decided it would be nice to visit Savannah, GA and it was!!!

WE WERE NOT STRANDED IN ORLANDO!

The pricing overall was not bad

Just if you use I n & Out travel

GET IT IN WRITING!! EVERYTHING EVERYTHING EVERYTHING

Otherwise they has a tendency of forgetting details.

Our trip spending:

BEFORE the trip: $2016 (plus airfare)
Jet Blue $98 per person down (NOT incl)
5 day Disney Hopper (incl)
8days 9 nights Port Orleans French Quarter (incl)
Tickets to Busch Gardens for 2 (incl)
Transportation to Tampa Busch Gardens (incl)
Transportation to Universal (incl)
Murder Myster Dinner (incl)

NOT INCLUDED but used while there spending:
Universal 2-park tickets for to $157 AAA
Universal Citywalk Margaritaville Dinner $60
Cirque du Soliel $165
Full Day Spa for me in Grand Flordian $594
Awesome hair cut for me Post Wedding $65
Rental $340 1 week

Overall not bad.
We however went nuts on stuff and junk. Spent about $5,000 out of pocket (including those items 'not included' and all the extras, plus the one way rental car to get back to NY, 2 nights in Savannah GA, tours there and a night in Richmond, VA)

Re: Disney honeymooners

We also did Disney as part of our honeymoon. We stayed off site about 5 minutes away at the Sheraton Vistana Resort. It was a condo and we had our own kitchen, and washer/dryer. Saved us breakfast money every day since we were able to make our own every morning. We rented a car for the week which was not expensive either.

We had park hopper passes for Disney and Universal. What's good about Disney is that if you go to one park in the morning and pay the parking fee, you don't pay again at a different park, they just wave you on through.

I don't remember how much it was, but I would definitely recommend the Sheraton.

We stayed @ the Carribbean Beach Resort and i booked it totally on on my own with Disney. it was so cheap and easy We flew Jet Blue which was AMAZING and the whole trip with park tickets and airfare cost us just about $2000.

Re: Disney honeymooners

My sister and husband went to Disney for their honeymoon and used In and Out Travel and got an exceptional package, they stayed at the Hilton at Walt Disney World and In and Out got them an upgraded room. She couldn't rave enough about them. They got the park hopper passes for their entire stay of 10 days and its just like a regular disney hotel with all the transportation to the parks included.

Re: Disney honeymooners

We love Diseny and go there frequently, including our Honeymoon. For our HM we wanted to stay at the Boardwalk. It is a 5 minute walk to Epcot and less then 15 minutes to MGM. They have boats to both places as well as buses to other theme parks, downtown disney and Pleasure Island.

The baordwalk is a disney resort so there were benefits like charging purchases/meals to your room from anywhere on the property. If you go shopping you can have your packages delivered to your hotel. They have an early admission day for resort guests so you get into a designated park an hour early.

For our HM, the hotel, transfers, ultimate park hopper pass and meal plan ran us about $3800 for 8 nights (I am not 100% positive of the total since it was a while ago...but it was in that ball park.) The only thing we had to pay for while we there was alcohol, beverages/snacks for the room and souveniers.

www.disney.com has a vacation planning module that lets you price out and compare different packages.

fyi...caribbean resort (endlessluv's hotel) is part of the Walt Disney Resort hotel so it's right on Disney property.
