For a bridal shower - tomorrow. There are the usual distinct group brides family, grooms family, friends. I am leaning towards no but one of the other bridesmaids thinks it will be crazy.

Re: Do I need to do seating arrangements for 35?
I wouldn't. I think the BM's should work to greet guests and help them find a seat though. Most showers I have been to have not have assigned seating and have had more people and there was no problem.
But at my shower, I walked in and I saw a close g-friend of mine kind of standing by herself against the wall because she didn't know anyone. I wish my BM's would have been more friendly (they tended to stay to who they knew) and seated her. I grabbed her arm and pulled her to a table with a younger crowd and introduced her. Big pet peeve of mine - BM's should play host!

No you do not...35 is a small group and people will tend to sit with others that they know!!

Re: Do I need to do seating arrangements for 35?
Its not necessary but on a personal note, when I go to a shower where I dont know anyone (i dont know how this happens all the time to me but it does)..i really like the seating chart. Otherwise it makes it really awkward for me to find a seat b/c I dont know who knows who and who is saving what seat, etc..
hey fran...will you have more seating than guests?
I think that would work out...then no one has to be bumped off a table if they can't fit?

Thanks girls Im going to suggest the other two BM's mingle and Ill grab the brides sister to take care of her family members. There are only a few ladies from the grooms side so that should not be a problem.
