Do people ask you this annoying question?

Original post by Future Mrs.

SInce the day after my wedding, it seems like a lot of people have either flat out asked, or evasively hinted for an answer of when we plan on having children.

I find this really rude! It also stresses me out.

If I'm going to share that kind of information, it will be on my own free will.

Does anyone else get this since they've exchanged I Do's?

Yes, that and 'so, when are you going to buy a house?'

Tell her you are considering adoption so the baby won't inherit her rudeness

Re: Do people ask you this annoying question?

Here are my 2 normal answers

How's married life? 'Well we made it through breakfast so I think it's going pretty well.'

This is tricky because Joe had a vasectomy so we need a reversal. It's a VERY touch subject with. More so when people who KNOW this ask sooooo.

When are you going to have kids?

If they don't know about the vasectomy and I feel comfortable giving an answer.....
'God willing we hope to start trying by summer of 08. Keep your fingers crossed.'

If they don't know and I feel they shouldn't be asking......
'That's a very personal question, and i'm not comfortable discussing it with you.'

If they KNOW and still ask.....
'We accept checks, paypal, and cash. Oh i'm sorry I just assumed you were offering to help cover the $3500 the reversal costs seeing as how you brought it up.' After they look shocked and pissed I say...'Well don't ask a hurtful question and you won't get a hurtful answer.'

These all seem to work pretty good for me.......
