yes, I felt like that BADLY when we first got married- I really missed the planning and the excitement, but that 'feeling' does 'go away' or lessens at least- You will find the excitement in other things-home buying/decorating/babies-other weddings/everything else that goes along with being married!

OMG I was so depressed, I cried for a whole week. I missed the whole planning and the whole day of getting my hair and makeup done then slipping into my gown. I don't miss the stress at all. i do get alittle jealous reading the 07 post of brides getting ready for their big day

I married my best friend and that makes all of the pain go away

It was me!! He said he had another wedding the next night. I asked if it was yours and he said it was. We lucked out with weather!! Our weekend was beautiful. I feel like I have not seen the sun since my honeymoon. I still think we should all have a party where we get to wear our dresses again and look all pretty.

I never went through that. I was so happy it was over and I didn't have to deal with the BS anymore. I just had so much stress and endless problems dealing with the wedding, working full time and going to school at night.

Hi ladies!

I don't know if I'm breaching any LIW rules but I was lurking on your board for the exact opposite reason of how you girls feel... I just can't wait to be a newlywed! lol I don't want to have to wait until '08 to marry the love of my life The planning is so stressful...

If it helps you any, we can ALWAYS use all your help and expertise on the planning boards... You will always be welcome there...

I'm pretty clueless with all this stuff... So it helps to get advice from someone who's been through it...

Thanks and I will go back to my side of the fence... for now at least lol

YES, I had it for quite a few months and felt terrible about it!!!!!! Turns out it's quite normal. With all of the excitement and anticipation leading up to a weddiing it comes as a bit of a shock and let-down when all-of-a-sudden it's over.

The only thing that got me through it was time and having other things fill that void. We started house hunting and I felt a lot better about our wedding being over. You have to focus on the wonderful day that you had and the many future days that you'll have together filled with bigger and better!!

I am so glad you posted this I thought something was wrong with me!! I called it Post Wedding Depression. We only had a 3 month engagement so I enjoyed planning and was not tired of all the running around. I still can't believe it is all over.
The week after our wedding was a nightmare. Dh and I did not go away since his whole family flew over for the wedding, We were tour guides walking around NYC with a huge group of 17. Then my mom was in the hospiatl for a week his mom had to be taken to the ER. If anything could have gone wrong it did. The worst was the day I went back to work. Now that we have our apartment all set up and life is back to normal I have 'gotten better'. I will host group therapy if you like.

Yesterday we drove by the church and a wedding was on. DH asked me if I could handle driving by.
