Only if it is accompanied with funny jpegs!!
Are you winning?
Edited to add my real answer.
It depends on who the advice is coming from and if I could take care of it right away.

Giving, yes. Receiving, mmmm not so much...
Totally j/k. I DO appreciate it from my friends who know the full situation; if it's just a general 'here's a piece of advice' from someone who doesn't know me/the full picture, it can seem a bit preachy, if the person's delivery is haughty.
As always if its unsolicited advice, that's a field of landmines though.

Yes, as long as the person who is giving the advice understands the entire situation and isn't getting all preachy. I mostly listen to straight forward advice from my mom, aunt and DH...whether its preachy or not...they know me the best so I trust their advice.

psssssssh---you know what i'm gonna say
and i prefer to give no nonsense, straight forward advice. if i think your hair cut sux--i'll say it. if you do look fat in that dress---trust that i will tell you.
i would want someone to do that for me.

If I asked for it, yes (if it's unsolicited, that's another story), but there's also something to be said for the delivery....there are ways to do it w/o sounding too harsh.

Re: Do you appreciate no nonsense, straight forward advice?
honestly?
only from Steve, my parents, and my two best friends.
I also think there can be a fine line between being straightforward and just being rude... and the line isn't always clear.
