just curious. we do on the nights he comes home early from work - maybe once a week. otherwise i go out with the girls or order in alone. i'd love it if he was home every night - that's how i was raised - with both parents home every night for family dinner!

For the wives that eat alone - do you get lonely? Do you wish he was there or do you kind of like the time alone? i'm torn b/w all three answers.
on nights he's late (which during the summer, is every single night) it gets lonely. Now, when his schedule is better, and it's only one or two nights that I'm alone...I love my alone time.

I do get lonely eating dinner a lone, but I don't mind being alone a few nights until about 11:00 when he gets home. I get to be in control of the t.v. for once!

I wish we could, DH works for Alure selling the Basement Finishing System and just about everynight he's out on a sales call. They usually start around 6 or 7pm which is just about the time I get home from work :(.

We do. We used to always eat on the couch watching TV - but now we have been eating on at the table almost every night (since we brought a TV into the kitchen )

Yes we do. Except if he works late (he tries to get home in time to eat with me tho) and I am starving by 7, so I tell him that I cant wait!!!!
But other then that, we do!
If my husband thought like that we'd never eat together. He eats lunch early, sometimes before noon, so he usually has made some sort of snack concotion by the time I get home around 7/7:30.

Most nights, we do eat together. I would guess once or twice a week we do not, either because I have to work late, or one of us is going out with friends.

Maybe a few times a week, but never every night. I don't really get lonely, I make dinner a very quick thing when I'm by myself and then go onto other things I need to do.

Every night. He works late on M&F so we don't usually eat until after 9. I won't eat dinner without him. I feel bad that I get home earlier, so I wait.
