Do you ever make up stuff in your head. . .

and then get disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made up in my head that DH is going to surprise me with some great plans tomorrow and then he texts me with 'did you want to eat out for Vday tonight or tomorrow'

um thanks, guess we dont have reservations. I had NO reason to think we did - I made it all up in my head

I have pretend conversations with DH (and other people too) in my head all. the. time.

In my head:

Me: Hey babe, what do you want to do this weekend?

Him: I was thinking we could go see the Shopaholic movie, I know you want to see it.

Me: That's great!! You're the best hubs ever!

In real life:

Me: What time are we going on Saturday?

Him: Huh? Where?

Me: I thought you said we were going to see the Shopaholic movie?

Him: Huh? No. I never said that.

Me: Yes you did!!! We had a whole conversation and everything about it!!!!

Him: No we really didn't.

Me: Oh, maybe it was in my head. Nevermind.

Tilde I think we are the same person sometimes...

I am always making up senarios in my head about everything. I like talk to myself

Like I am guessing DH will wake up tomorrow make me breakfast and have the coach pocketbook I want sitting next to my dog on the bed for the 1st thing I see when I wake up and I really want to believe it. but i know he wont make breakfast he is worse than me with cooking and i am sure he didn't buy me a coach pocketbook just for vday (not too big into presents for it)

the valentines day before we got engaged DH was like I have a surprise for you and I was like oh he is going to propose!
Well, I should have figured knowing how DH is he totally did this to sike me out. He ended up taking me to Mideval Times

i have all these amazing daydreams....especially on my 45 minute drive home....i try not to be mad a dh once i get in, but sometimes they get me so disappointed

yes! all the time- i do what jen does- but outloud- i'll be cooking in the kitchen and have a whole conversation with myself- with him telling me how its so nice how I cook a full dinner for him everynight and make such a fuss and what a great wife I am.

dh just rolls his eyes.

umm yes. All the time. he will call me and say he has good news, great news, whatever. Or he will be like OMG guess what!!! And I get all excited thinking maybe his band got signed or got some awesome connection or whatever. I will think its something huge! He will make it sound like its the best thing he is about to tell me, so I get excited! And usually its about something stupid- like a dumb video game coming out or something. Then I get mad. LOL

I do this alot, and then I get in major trouble b/c I think that it was a real conversation and I wind up saying 'well, you told me, so I don't know what your problem is' then we get in a fight, and I realize, wait a second...he never did say anything lol

:( Then I feel like a jerk and apologize.

I guess this is why we don't assume things!!! haha

Like, DH sends me flowers to work every v-day and it's 4:30 and I have not received anything :( Maybe he is going to bring something home? Or give to me tomorrow?

Not that it's a big deal, but when I sit here going 'oh yeah, Justin is going to send them to me, any minute now' lol and I don't get anything, I look like a fool!

I had to respond to this because apparently I do make stuff in my head. I made up in my head that DH had something romantic planned for tomorrow and I was really exited to wake up and see what was planned. DH gets home and this is the conversation that transpires:

ME: I'm going to make red velvet cupcakes for tomorrow

DH: Why? What is tomorrow?

ME: Oh nothing special, just Valentines Day

DH: I'll be right back

He had to leave to get me a card, he forgot! He's lucky I'm in a pretty good mood tonight

I do that all the time then I'm always let down

I do the opposite too. I imagine people having a bad reaction to something and I get myself all pissed off, then when I actually confront the person, its all cool. So i just get my self worked up for nothing

I do it ALL the time. I always think of the unexpected and always think FH will do these things here and there and get p'd off when he doesnt. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Like today, I thought MAYBE he'd send me flowers because a lot of other girls got me flowers and I know he did something online the other night... but NO, nothing. Oh well. We'll see what happens tomorrow
