If so, what do you give them?

this year we're giving something generous.... tix to lincoln center (bought them for ourselves too) and dinner before the show.... total cost over $400 they are always very generous with us and their other kids, so they deserve it....

It' SOOO difficult to shop for the ILs!!!! This year, we're giving my MIL the souvenir we got her from our HM (a black pearl pendant) and we're giving my FIL UGGS slippers.

yes, we give them gc's to restaurants.

Yep. This year we're not spending too much tho since we're still recovering from the wedding. So we got FIL the Seinfeld box set and MIL we got a CD she wanted and an 'army mom' tee shirt she asked for.

i buy stuff for my MIL-- clothes--but i don't get shiiit for my FIL and his crackhead GF. normally i'd feel bad, but they are the scuum of the earth. DH doesn't feel bad about not giving them and his siblings anything, so i'm okay with it. its a tough situation and long story---but only once did i buy them a gift for the family...but since then they've shown their true colors so i don't bother at all

We do usually, but getting them gifts is hard!!!

were giving his mom a digital camera, and his dad is getting $$ towards golf clubs that are $2000!!! there really good to use, and we live in an apartment and have 4 bedrooms, completly rent free so we gotta be good to them while we save for house

No....but Dh's family doesn't buy eachother anything for christmas......There are just too many of them. The Kids (and we don't have any) all draw names and buy for one another, though, at least, so every kid get one gift at the family Christmas......

Every year. This year I bought a CD with various singers doing their updates on some old tunes for his dad. For his mom four desert plates held in a fancy wire basket and a huge heart candle in a cute holder. We are saving for a house so the gifts are considerably smaller.

my ils are not really into big gifts. they are so difficult to shop for b/c they are older and dont relly need anything..

i get them practical gifts like slippers, etc

FIL has a bad back so we got him one of those homedics massage things.
Step mother inlaw likes dragon flies so I bought a stained glass kit with a dragon flies and I made that for her. Also made her a set of notecards.
MIL- she likes wine, so I made her a set of wine charms and two wine boxes with a bottle in each. I also made her piece of stained glass with a butterfly, an ornament with a picture of her and her gentleman friend and a picture frame (her birthday is right after Christmas and we haven't decided what she is getting for what).

yep, every year! MIL this year is getting earrings from us and a necklace, and I bought her Josh Groban's Christmas CD. FIL so far I bought him 2 sweaters, not sure what else to get.....usually we get him GC's to Home Depot!

Yeah we get them a few things.. for MIL usually a sweater, or some bath & body works stuff, a book, ornaments, things like that... FIL is sooo hard to shop for, whenever he wants anything he just goes and gets it for himself... and he's got unique taste so it's very hard. I'm going to leave it up to my husband to pick out FIL's gift.

Yes, and we just ask each of them what the other one wants!!!
