Do you go through DH phone?!

Poll of the day!
Most (hoping all) do trust our DH! ...but whenever he comes home from hanging out with the boys, or a long day at work, or even randomly..do you go through his phone? to check his call list, or text messages..? just wondering because my friend just called me saying her DH gets furious when she plays around with his phone even though theres nothing in it and i had this longgg talk with her.. so i thought it was interesting question...

personally, i do once in a while...

I guess this would be other, but no, I just don't., not b/c of a password or anything. I don't see any reason to. My Dh is the type that if he didn't need a cell phone for work he wouldn't have one. He doesn't even text message.
He's never looked through my phone (that I'm aware, but don't think he does).

i can honestly say that in all the time we've been together i've never once gone through his phone. there's no need to.

same here- I am sure if I wanted to see it he wouldnt care, and we're on the same plan so I could see who he calls and what texts he gets, but its his business

I hate to admit it but yes i am a bit nosy. Its just a bad habit, even if i am not looking for specific things i just look. I try not to as much but sometimes i can't help it. I just like looking through things, and do it even with small stuff. I just deal with issues of the whole not knowing that i feel i always have to be in the know lol. I wont make excuses its wrong, i know it. I do it at times and then feel bad after but if he has his aol open sometimes i just like even looking at his browser history. Not even like i will be looking for anything specific but just looking lol

DH hated when I was in my other job. I had sooo much time in my hands that I would text him and tell him 'babe you need to respond to so and so's email, or babe I cleaned out your inbox'. It's his own fault though bc he hates checking email and would make me do it for him.

BUT i also do use his phone many times for other things so yeah sorry but i see things period. He has an i-phone so i always play the games he has on there and he has alot and i do it in front of him. Also many times his phone goes off and its a text and he is not next to it and will ask me to check and see who the text is from. Or if it rings and same scenario he will ask me to see who it is. Or times we are out and he tells me to google something on his phone but when you go to it on the i-phone the last page he was viewing is up so i can always see that.

So i can be a bit of a snoop but at the same time, there are alot of things I would see regardless

Hell no. I trust him 100%.

lol I dont tell him. Only if its a situation where he is there and see's me. And yeah many times i can see things without trying. Like the other day we were in the living room and he has his laptop out in the living room. He wanted me to show him something online that i had looked at the night before. But i had went through so many sites so i had to go to his browser history and in front of him to get the site. And along with what i had viewed all the stuff he has viewed came up too. He is the one who told me to do it lol. But if i snoop then i dont tell him but if there is something i want to ask him about then i dont say oh i found this. I think of a way to set it up so that i see it lol and make it seem like i found it by accident. Like one time there was a pic of his friend and it was just confusing lol i didnt want to make it seem like i was going through his phone. SO what i did was i remembered he had taken a pic with his phone that i wanted so i said if he can email it to me. I knew what he was going to say so he told me just to do it. SO this way i had to go to his album and look for the pic i was trying to get and then of course i say 'w** is this pic about' lol and made it seem like i just had seen it for the first time.

I know its bad

its not even about trust. I look through my dads phone lol and even my friends i go look through their pic albums. DH and i went to my dads apartment not long ago. He had a camera on the table so i said oh i wanna see what pics he has taken. I am just nosy lol

ETA: i definitely have stopped ALOT. With my ex i was real bad but my ex was worse than me and i think thats where i get it from. He used to do it to me so i got back at him by doing it to him. I try my best now not to do it but once in a blue moon it will happen. Then when it comes to phones, we are on the same plan so when i go view my bill his bill is right there too

I did in the beginning, but it was because of my issues, not him ( in my case)

The last guy I was with cheated on me, so I had serious trust issues. Now I don't , but I will ask him who he on the phone with, just because I am nosey like that

right now DH doesn't have a phone.. he takes my phone to work since i'm home.. so of course i go through it cause it's mine..lol.
But i have to admit when we were dating i did do it a couple of times..
i trust DH but i don't always trust his friends..lol

I guess I misunderstood the question.... to me it sounded like going through his phone looking for things (girls phone numbers, text messages, etc). I use DH's iPhone to play games, watch movies, see his pictures, etc.

I thought the OP meant reading his text messages and looking through his call log without him knowing.

LMAO trust me I understand I was horrible. I mean but I was dumb about it, like I would comment about his textes or emails. There was a point he was like STOP LOOKING THROUGH my things so I said fine-- change your passwords, He told me ok change them for him bc he didnt want to get up. DUHHH.
So I dont think you are wrong at all, or that you are searching for any bad reasons. Its just entertainment.

it is for entertainment lol. But like i said i try not to do it anymore. It was a bad habit of mine that i entered into the relationship with. I knew dh didnt deserve it so thats why i do my best not to do it to him. And sometimes it can be for a very good reason. One time i was surprising him with something but i needed to get his friends involved and let them know. I didnt have EVERYBODIES emails so i had to go on his email to get everybody that i needed. Dh didnt mind then when he asked me after, oh wow how did you contact all of them. Its just hard after being in a relationship for 8 years to get rid of all the bad habits. I was able to stop most of them such as screaming and fighting, and being a nag or any of that. I realized how unhappy i was doing that myself and how things never got resolved by being a nag or screaming and getting into stupid fights all the time and learning to let the small things go. But this is one thing that i did enter with into the relationship. Now i stop myself most of the time and say 'denise its wrong'

BUT even in my past relationship where i did this all the time. AFTER a while it was not about trust at all bc i was snooping on my ex for a long time and never found anything so not like it was about that anymore. It became like a game and just seeing how good you are at finding info and stuff. People used to get impressed by some of my methods and when that happened it really was like a game for me. And not just with snooping but finding out other things. One time i got an email from somebody, they obviously made up a fake sn and said nasty things to me. I went on the mad hunt to get their ip address and find out all the info i could. And i liked it, like i said it was a game and was fun for me to go through that whole process and find out.

my answer is no, i don't even know how his phone works and he never goes through my phone either. I used to do that with my ex and ended up being addicted and felt so uncomfortable but I couldn't help so after we broke up i promised i wasn't going to do that ever again.
