I have my first appt with a new one today and she's a woman
I prefer male, but this time I'm going to someone from the hospital at which I work, so b/c of confidentiality and such, i chose a female
Update: just came back from my appt with her - and she's great. She took the time to explain things to me and to answer all of my questions. I didn't feel hurried (even though she had so many patients waiting for her)

My main gyno is female, but there is also a male in the practice. I saw him a few times during my pregnancy.

thats interesting..dont often hear ppl say men are more gentle.
anywho, i go to a female. i wouldnt feel comfy going to a man, thats just me.
same here, although she is kinda rough.
anyone recommend any in queens? or if you REALLY recommend them, maybe i'd schlep to LI for appointments

me too, i'm sure a male Dr. would be fine, I'm just more comfortable with a woman

Male only. Once I made a mistake and went to a woman. She was supposed to be good, but she was so clumzy as an elephant in a china store, and she hurt me. I hate women gyn. Males are more gentle and cautious, since even though they are doctors, they still can not 100% feel woman's body.

I go to a male but we will see about the next couple appointments. I feel like I need him to understand who I am.

I go to a male and I love him!! He's very gentle and very sweet... I have been to a female ONCE and I will NEVER go back.. she was way to rough for my liking

Both........ The NP I normally see is a women, but my OB/GYN is a man. I only see the OB if I have questions like about TTC, and my cycle and only because that's how he wants it. He has a VERY large practice and is super busy.
