I don't know if he things we're playing supermarket sweep (throwing 5 of the most expensive items into the cart and then running on to the next) or if he thinks we're the Hulk Hogan family...
But, I am initiating a grocery store budget before we have to declare bankruptcy...

We do have a budget and try our best to stay as close to it as possible. We are getting better at sticking to our list and using coupons.

we try to budget, we seem to spend about $60 every other week when we go. I don't buy frozen foods unless its on sale or we have a coupon (although it is hard to resist them anyway sometimes). So I try to stock up when I can.
on the offset, DH hits the fast food way more than i'd like him too!!
We usually get paper products when they are on sale or at BJ's, wherever, and there are only 2 of us so its not so bad :)
We use a list, and I will generally stick to it, but also leave room for stuff on sale that wasn't planned for (frozen foods, snacks, condiments to stock up on). When DH comes it always ends up being more too!
Fortunately we just had a few BBQ's so we've had lots of leftovers of beverages, and food, so while we spent more $ then, we haven't had to go food shopping for a couple of weeks and lately have only picked up meat, fruit, bread, milk, etc. when we needed it.

We only go once every 2 weeks or so because we basically eat out all week. It usually costs around $110.

We have a budget and it goes out the window every month! This is one area where we really need to reign ourselves in. We are so bad at grocery shopping and blow so much money on junk.

No such thing as a grocery budget in our home. We feel we work hard and deserve what we want, when it's within a reasonable amount of $$$. We don't go overboard, but if we really really want it and it's not on sale, we'll buy it. I usually cut coupons and check the weekly circulars for things on sale and try to stick with that. Our grocery bill ranges from $60-$120 a week. Depending on how hungry DH was that week.

not at all. We spend a lot on food. I love fish and then I go to wild by nature for a lot of items as well so our food spending is insane!!

I buy all different kinds of food. Different meats (ground, sausage, pork chops, veal, steak, chicken) each week. I always have fish sticks, chicken nuggets, pizza on hand. I buy noodles and rice all the time. Spaghetti and sauce. I could go on and on. I do VERY well and am proud of myself-lol!! I use coupons and buy sale items. I will buy store brand, but not for everything. That $80 also includes shampoos, deodorants, paper towels, napkins, etc. I hope I helped!!

we used to be SO bad at the beginning; we will go gorcery shopping every week and spend around $150!!! but we learned and now we spend less than that every two weeks.

Hard to say. We pick up things during the week. I would say that once every 3 weeks or so I do a big shopping for staples and pantry stuff. We are out of the house a good deal of the time so we eat on the road. I try to take breakfast and lunch with me to work 3 out of 5 days that works. I buy the veggies and meat as needed because our schedules are so nutty. I go to Costco for water, all paper stuff, batteries..etc..can't walk out of there for less than 200.

My ds also goes to daycare so I don't have to make him lunches. My dd likes to eat bagels for lunch and my dh will either take things like frozen meals, leftovers or just buy lunch or his bosses treat him. I come home for lunch everyday so I usually eat lean pockets, smart ones, sandwiches, leftovers, etc. I am trying to do weight watchers again so I have cut down on my eating. Thanks for the encouragement!!! I enjoy going shopping and getting good sales, like $.19 for Crunch and Munch-lol!!
