im barefoot at home and i only ask people to take off shoes if its raining or snowing etc

I have tile floors, which I clean weekly, so no I don't ask anyone to take off their shoes. We don't wear our shoes in the house though.

I grew up with the no shoe policy. My DH and I take off our shoes before we are in the house. We don't enforce it but when people see the shoes in the hall, they usually follow suit.

When I go to other people's houses it feels weird not taking off my shoes. I don't feel comfortable with shoes on inside the house.
