Do you have friends that....

Do you have friends that....

you KNOW aren't going to hang out if they dont pick up their phone??? IT DRIVES ME CRAZY. we have a few friends that if we make tentative plans and then call to see whats up with them, we know if they're cancelling or just not showing if they don't answer.

so if u haven't guessed we made tentative plans for tonight with friends of ours that we haven't seen in a long time....last week we finally picked a day & were so excited to finally get together...especially that i have tonight off which is SUCH a rare-ity. Now i hadn't heard from her all week - so yesterday i threw her a myspace message..she read it. no response. Then today i called from my home phone, she picked up & goes 'omg Taryn..i didn't realize ur number..can i call u right back from my work phone?' NEVER CALLED BACK. it just drives me nuts....its like..I DONT CARE if u're not coming...it's not a huge deal.. JUST LET ME KNOW so i know what the hel l to do for dinner

we're having that issue for tomorrow night. Everyone and their mother wanted to come over to watch the fight.. nooowwww, no one is returning calls or'cant make it'.. I think it's because I said we aren't footing the bill for EVERYTHING again.. beer, food, PPV.. it gets expensive. Greedy bastardss

the best is when they JUST DON'T CALL

you speak to them that day but the time comes & goes.. and then *suddenly* the phone has no service or it 'died'

Yep, I cant stand that.
I guess they just feel guilty breaking plans but I think its worse to not show and not call

I did. They're not my friends anymore. I can't stand for crap like that. If you dont' respect me enough to make plans and stick to them - then I don't respect you and I can't be your friend.

I don't like having big circle of 'whatever' friends. I have a small circle of friends that I can count on and they can always count on me.

ITA! It is much worse to not show/not call then to just fess up that you need to break the plans.

I don't even really need you to make up an excuse ... unless it happens ALL the time. Then you better have a GOOD effin excuse!
