You try and make plans with someone, and the person must have other plans and/or not want to go with you, but instead of giving you a 'no' they just either ignore the fact that you asked them OR change the subject to something unrelated.

one of my bridesmaids is like that- most of the time she would just rather stay home and veg than go out with all of us- she is single & lives at home with her very annoying parents

I have a friend who did this, so we got the hint and stopped inviting her out, now she says 'how come I wasn't invited?' So I told her point blank, we stopped inviting you b/c you'd flake out at the last minute.

i cant stand last minute ditchers either! ok thats not true--i have one friend who no matter what will cancel last minute EVERY TIME we havent seen eachother in months. i stopped trying to make plans.
my other friends dont bother me if they need to cancel. i understand life gets in the way

I have a friend who will absolutely SAY she wants to hang out (a lot of times she's even the one to invite ME) and then it just never happens. Like she'll tell me on Sunday to come over on Wednesday. When I call later that week to make sure we're still on, I won't even get an answer. What's that about? And then we'll be chatting on the phone and instead of ever just being like 'Hey, I'm gonna go', she'll say that she has to do something will Call me right back, which she never does. That makes me CRAZY!!! Don't say you'll call me back when you have no intentions of doing so. Just say you gotta go, and that's fine. I think she just doesn't know how to end a conversation on the phone.
