As I get older and more responsible I start to think about consequences a lot more than I used do. Therefore, I'd say that I live for the future.

I think I live waaayyy too much for the future- I'm always thinking ahead which really takes me out of the moment! I hate that!

definitely the future! One of my all time resolutions is to live in the moment.....I think that people who do, are happier. But I am so worried all the time about family, money, career.....I'm always planning. Its a shanda.

Re: Do you live for the moment or for the future?
I'd like to live more for the moment. Because I know that the future can be taken away from us in the blink of an eye so I want to enjoy every day as much as possible & live life to the fullest so I have no regrets. I don't want to miss out on living my life because I'm worried about what might or might not happen. But then at the same time I'm such a planner & I'm always thinking about goals & looking forward to things, plus I'm always thinking about consequences & I don't do foolish things without thinking what will happen afterward (I was raised to have too much of a conscience). I wish I could be more spontaneous sometimes & not worry so much. So I guess in that way I live for the future even though I kind of wish I didn't have to do that so much.

Both.
I tend to think about the future a little too much and i always need to remind myself to enjoy and live for the present! There is no rush in life...and everything will happen when the time comes for it too happen.

Both.
I like to be sensible with money and invest for the future and have a basic 'game plan'...but i am also an adrenaline junkie...so i like to do things like jump out of a plane here and there because life is short and if you don't do the things you've always wanted to but were afraid of the 'what if's' then you are not living.
A saying i came up with post 9-11 that sums it up... 'I am not afraid of dying anymore, but of not living'..kb
