we have some money saved in our savings but not a whole lot in our spending accounts. for the most part i feel that we live paycheck to paycheck and its so frustrating. It's been really hard trying to save money for the future. Granted, DH has 2 kids from a previous relationship and is paying child support. It def puts a toll on our monthly savings and we have many many years ahead of us of still paying that.
we have decent jobs but i guess thats just not enough to afford LI
Anyone else live practically paycheck to paycheck?

We are fortunate that we don't have to ... both employed with nice-paying jobs ... DH makes about twice what I make, but I still do well on my own and have always been very frugal. We are also debt-free (except for the remainder of my student loans).

Thankfully No. DH & I have very good jobs plus he owns his own business which is very lucrative. One of my paychecks goes into the savings completely the other is for me (hehehe) & One & quarter of Dh's paycheck(s) pays mortgageS (yes 2) & bills. Then he keeps some for himself & the rest goes into savings. Plus we have retirement plans since we are both about 24. And every year we without fail open a roth ira. Then we have our pensions as well cds and stocks etc. And we have 'fun money' & we are absolutely debt free as in credit cards or loan (other then mortgages).
Its very important to think of your future. I knowi ts hard u gotta do what u gotta do but if u see there isnt much left afterward maybe u need a sceond job???

We sort of do... We saved ALL of the wedding money, and haven't touched it, since we want to buy a house in the next year or two.
I carry a significant amount of credit card debt (all my own doing). So, a large portion of my paycheck goes towards that. Once it's paid off, we'll be doing OK.
DH and I split shared bills (rent, cell phones, etc.) and he has student loans and some credit card debt. So, we live more on his salary than mine, and we're doing OK but not as great as I would like us to be.

I do and I have 3 jobs! And DH has a really good job. Im hoping now that im done with school...once I take my boards and get my license we wont have to do it anymore. It is hard...your not alone.

We're living paycheck to paycheck, although it tends to change month to month. Sometimes we can afford to put a little bit (never more than $100 away) and sometimes we can't. Although right now we're saving for our cross-country move and afterwards I won't be working anymore while I'm in school, so we'll be paycheck to paycheck for a long time.

we don't just live paycheck to paycheck, usually the NEXT paycheck is spent before we even cash the current one lol. Its terrible, I don't want to leave LI but its just inevitable that we will have to.

yes, we have a mortgage and all our other bills which is pretty much an 1 and half paychecks. both of us make good money and no matter what we manage to put a few hundred in savings every month. but after remodeling the house we are in some debt that we need to pay off first and then things will be much better. so hopefully by the end of the year we will be in a better financial position.

no thankfully we dont. but now that the wedding is over we really want to save up to buy a house as soon as we can. This might mean being really frugal for awhile.

Thankfully we don't. We are able to live off my salary and bank DH's. DH's salary goes to our 'fun money' and our savings account.
