no, but not because of germs, because I would be afraid they'd step on something that could cut or stick them.
Ditto! Even though the floors near the gates always seem pretty clean, at least at JFK.

Barefoot meaning no socks?? I probably wouldnt allow that but sometimes kids take their shoes off and its very hard to get them back on. I would like to hear what the mothers think of this. There are a lot of germs yes but lets not pretend kids dont put their hands on the floor, touch dirty counters, etc.

No way. There are too many germs in the airport floors. Yuck people spit on the floors, what it there is a needle (yes i may be over-reacting) but no way. Around the house fine.
I've never seen anyone spit on the floor inside. I have seen needles at the beach, where nearly everyone is barefoot at some point. The airport floors get cleaned daily.
As long as they're wearing socks and they are not it a place where they're likely to be stepped on, I wouldn't sweat it.
