I really like NY so I don't know if I'd want to leave anytime soon.

We are still in NY but not on LI. I don't think my DH will ever move to LI, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for Westchester.

Nope. We were both born and raised here. He would never relocate, even if I asked. He's a mommas boy. But then again....I'm a mommas girl, and would never wanna be far from mommy.

We live in Manhattan and I don't think we are ever going to leave. We love NY and the city.

I dont want to leave Long Island.
Florida is almost as expensive as Long Island. My cousin lives in Fort Lauderdale and her area/taxes is just as expensive. She is thinking of moving to NC.

DH has never really liked LI. He was born and raised in Jersey and really was not a LI guy at all! When he moved here he wasn't happy about it but we realized it would be easier for him to live here than it would be to live in Jersey career wise. He has not stopped complaining about it since! So even though I would like to stay, I have a feeling we will be moving relatively soon. (maybe in a few years). We are going to move close to wherever his parents decide to move when his dad retires. We are thinking Virginia.

We live in Greenwich and love it, we'll probably stick around here for at least a few more years.
But we've talked about moving to CA in the future!

moving eventually...Dh doesn't like NY and I am getting bored of it myself (i've only lived on LI)...but want to keep my house here so we can always come back.

well, we'd LIKE to stay here, but the real limiting factor is career-related. We likely will have to move to different univeristies...
we're hoping we can stay on LI, or at least NYC.... we're willing to move to boston, but that would be it... overall, we're north east people from immigrant families, and feel out of place when we visit down south or middle america.... we need a bit of european influence to stay comfy.
