Re: Do you regret anything about your wedding day?

i also regret not having an indoor backup for pics. i just got my proofs, and while they're all beautiful there's not a lot of variety in setting. i regret not talking to some of the guests more but i was having so much fun dancing. i regret not forcing the lady at the bridal shop to take up my dress another 1/4 inch or so b/c i kept tripping on it. i think that's about it. i'm still really upset that it rained, but i guess that's not a regret b/c i had no control, but it's something i would change if i could go back.

Re: Do you regret anything about your wedding day?

I regret not dancing with my moms fiance. Just went to fast and totally slipped my mind.

I also regret not making sure that the videographer was going to stay till the end. He wound up leaving and missed all the best dancing towards the end of the night.

I regret not having a bagpiper lead me into the church down the aisle. Never crossed my mind to do this till after the wedding.

I regret not taking any pictures before the ceremony so we could capture some fall colors..after all...thats why we wanted a fall wedding in the first place.

I too regret staying at the garden city hotel for the night of the wedding. Total waste of A LOT of money!!!!

As others have said, dont get me wrong, I loved my wedding day and in the grand scheme of things, everything was great...the one thing that I will never get over though is not dancing with my moms fiance. He was like a second father to me and I totally missed the experience.

Re: Do you regret anything about your wedding day?

Sage, I can totally sympathize, my regrets are not having a video too.

And TEACHER, married a year later and I regret the rain too as funny as that sounds...I'd do it all over again with the fall day like I really wanted...yea yea I know you can't control it!

Regret not having a rehearsal and being a tad rushed my our Reverand because the taller GM's were too close to Gary and I and made it hard for guests to see anything [again the weather issue because it the ceremony was supposed to be outside!]

And I regret not looking further into my photog and checking out others because I didn't care for my pics in the end.

BUT, despite all this, it was the BEST day anyway!

Re: Do you regret anything about your wedding day?

I regret choosing the florist I did.

I regret inviting one of Lukes mothers friend who was a nasty beyotch.

I regret not starting to get ready way earlier.

Hmm...im sure there is other stuff that i cant remember now.

And i was disappointed with the weather too. We picked Oct because i liked cool crisp weather and it was 80 degrees and humid. It could have been a lot worse since there was rain in the forcast but i really wished we had fall weather.

Re: Do you regret anything about your wedding day?

I regret not wearing comfortable shoes--- I was in pain for about a WEEK after the wedding.

I also regret my hairstyle-- a bit too 'regular' for such a special day.

I DEFINITELY also regret my choice of MOH. She was a huge disappointment to me and I wish I could have given the honor to someone else............

but theres no use crying over spilled milk, right? Still was a perfect day for me!

Re: Do you regret anything about your wedding day?

LOL Stef, I picked 9/27 becuase of the weather too - I wanted cool and crisp - and it was about 83 and humid! oh well.

And I wore those rubber thigh highs too - no blisters or anything but they were a litte uncomfortable toward the end of the day.

Re: Do you regret anything about your wedding day?

I did not like my hair. Looking back, I should have worn my hair down. I went to my friends wedding recently and it looked so pretty, it was hard not to be upset. That was my big regret!!

Re: Do you regret anything about your wedding day?

Funny reading through all your posts...I actually regret stressing about the weather. I was a complete basket case from the Wednesday before my wedding until the morning of b/c they were predicting torrential downpours. I guess the blessed mother & rosary beads in the window must have worked b/c it held out all day for us.

I also regret not having a little more time for before pics - getting dressed etc. We only had 20 minutes and I started stressing in the limo about getting there on time.

But as most of you have said, it was the best day and I wouldn't change a thing.

Re: Do you regret anything about your wedding day?

So for the ladies that wore the tigh highs did it ever occur to you all to go and take them off. I am sitting here reading this and saying, they must have been having a lot of fun to not take those hurtful things off, but then thinking about it, I never went to the bathroom the entire day. too much excitement, did not want to miss a beat

Lets see-- I loved my dress -- but when I look back at the pictures -- I feel like I showed too much cleavage--....

And -- I regret worrying so much and not just letting the day flow.....

Re: Do you regret anything about your wedding day?

1) Not having a runner going down the aisle.

2) Not being more specific with the band- They didn't do some things they should have, and they played the wrong music during our ceremony.

3) Tipping TOO much -- I found out after the wedding (when I complained to Carlyle about some things) that I had an assistant Maitre'd covering for the Maitre'd! For some reason the Maitre'd couldn't be there that day. I also got stuck with an inexperienced Bridal attendant who was later fired. All and all the service was fine but not over the top, and not deserving of the tip they got.

4) I have wonderful portraits and was happy with my photographer BUT I wish I paid for a second photographer to take more photojournalistic pictures.

5) Inviting some more people. We cut our list since we didn't want to go over the minimum, but in the end, a lot of people couldn't come and we were about 10 people short of our minimum which was 200.

6) I wish I had stopped and fixed my makeup and hair. I didn't go to the bathroom/bridal suite once during the entire day and looking at some of the photos --it shows!!

That's about all I can remember now.

Re: Do you regret anything about your wedding day?

I wish that I had thought ahead to stuff a few tissues into my bouquet. I cried the whole way down the aisle, and when I got to the alter I was all sniffly. The sniffles lasted most of the wedding ceremony. It was a bit distracting. For the bride that thought of everything, a little detail like that almost did me in

I also wish that I had found some way to really enjoy the last week before my wedding. I was fighting off a cold, and so stressed about things like weather and traffic. Well, it rained on our wedding day, but not that much and we got some beautiful outdoor pics. And we had NO traffic, despite it being Labor Day weekend. In retrospect, I should not have worried so much over what I had no control over- but I guess everyone does! Overall, it was the best day of my life and I would not change a thing
