Do you remember walking down the aisle at your wedding?
I remember when I first walked in and then it gets fuzzy after the half way point...it was a long aisle.

I remember the guy at the church giving me the cue to walk down the aisle.....and I'm like 'Now? Okay!' lol......I remember nudging my dad because he was started walking too quick......and I remember having this huge smile on my face and making eye contact with all the people looking at me on my side of the aisle....I was actually softly saying 'Hi!' to them!!! I was just so happy to see all those people there.......I remember getting to the end of the aisle and my hubby shaking my dad's hand.......ahhh the memories!!!!
And I have the video to back it all up!!!

Yes, but it wasn't a very long aisle. I remember wishing my mom and dad and I had practiced beforehand, or at least discussed it! My dad had a weird grip on my arm because I was holding my bouquet with that hand. (I walked with both parents, one on each side.)

when i heard my music start---i suddenly couldn't breathe and tears started in my eyes--my dad tried to make me laugh. once we got to the beginning of the aisle---i started breathing again. and i remember feeling so much like i was walking on air seeing everyone there and the cameras going off and thinking--'omg this is it-this is what i've been waiting for.....and its better than i imagined'

Re: Do you remember walking down the aisle at your wedding?
I remember! I had my emotions under control all day, I cried when I opened my wedding present from DH (a diamond cross, which I decided to wear instead of the necklace I had picked out), but other than that I was ok. Then when we got outside to the limo, I was SOOO emotional and when they opened the doors to the church for me to walk in, I started crying.
I got under control about 1/2 way through - I saw friends/family and started smiling. Got up to DH and my two dads that had walked me down each hugged/kissed me, put my veil back and then it was just DH and me. Such a great memory!!!!

Re: Do you remember walking down the aisle at your wedding?
it's so funny that's the exact moment i broke down!
i remember the entirrrrrrre engagement being so strong and un-emotional....i thought for sure i was going to breeze right by the actual ceremony - i should've known better!
the doors open and i hear the string quartet going and i see everyone's eyes on me and everyone looks so enormously proud and happy...i lost it!because of my reaction, every pic i have looks like i'm trying not to cry <-- just like that! i wish i would've had the HUGE cheesecake smile that most brides have but i was the dork that couldn't contain her tears!
i loved it though, i will forever remember the stares and how happy everyone was to see me!

Re: Do you remember walking down the aisle at your wedding?
I remember shaking like crazy before I walked down the isle and my uncle just held my hand and told me not to be nervous. I became very calm when I heard my music. As I was walking down the isle I remember seeing people out of the corner of my eye, but the entire time I was focused on my DH.

Not clearly. I was waiting outside the doors full of nervous energy so I just started bopping around. Made for some very funny pictures. Then I heard my music and the doors opened and I froze while my knees turned into jelly. I remember having my arm looped thru Dad's and navigating that weird turn at NRC's downstairs chapel, all the while the bridal attendant trying to get my train and veil straight. I feel like I ran down the aisle, trying not to look at anyone except for Mike. When I saw the video, I actually walked normal and looked at the guests, looking for my friends, smiling this very nice smile instead of the goofy grin I thought I had.

Re: Do you remember walking down the aisle at your wedding?
Yes! - but the rest after the ceremony was a big blur , I still feel like the whole wedding was like 15minutes
I remember the BP all nervous and Mom and Dad freaking shaking ready to cry before they all had to walk ahead of me. I was coool as a fan. I couldn't wait for MY music to start so I could make my grand entrance.
Once the music did finally begin I remember peering out enough so my guests didn't see me, I wanted to make everyone wait w/anticipation like when is she coming ? Is she coming? That is exactly what I did 'wait' my Wedding planner was yelling at me to come out and I shook my head NO , She said to me 'Jenn , come here - it is o.k I have something to tell you before you walk noone can see you over here.'
Sure enough there was a spot hidden around the bend before I got to the isle where she was, I looked at her and she said to me,..'Walk down reeeaaal slow and absorb every moment and every guest, look into everyone's eyes and take it all in b/c this is the only one day you will get to experience this feeling and it won't happen again.'
She was right The pep talked helped I didn't lose it and I did do exactly just that. It also helped that I new I was marrying my best friend and had no second thoughts. That whole experience was caught on my video film and I cry now sometimes when I reflect back and watch it - but I didn't during that moment.

Re: Do you remember walking down the aisle at your wedding?
Yea I remember they openned the church doors and I was like 'I'm not ready yet!' Then when I started walking, some IDIOT on DH's side (I think his dad actually) was sticking so far out of one of the pews that he was blocking my view of DH I was so annoyed that I actually said 'would you f*ckin move' under my breath. Finally, half way down the aisle, he moved and I could see DH's face...and then my face lit up for a second and then I started crying
I also remember thinking that I was holding my bo-k wrong going down the aisle. But in pics it looks normal.
And I remember getting to the altar and just wanting to hug and kiss DH. By the time the ceremony was over, we snuck off and had a 3 minutes hug, kiss, and cry session
