Do you take BC pills? If not, what is your contraception method?

I've just gone off my pills after 10 years. Wondering what to expect.

I've been off of BC for over a year. Prior to the wedding we relied on the good ol' condom. Now we are ttc. Things definitely change after bc, you have to be much more careful.

How so? Did you experience heavier periods? Painful cramps? Anything else?

I think I'm afraid of my skin breaking out badly and my extremely painful cramps I used to get

I'm on the Ortho Evra patch, but going to switch to something else soon. I've gained weight and my sex drive has gone down a lot. I'm pretty sure its from the patch.

I'm on BC and take Alesse.

Right now I am going to take it until the prescrip runs out then I'm going to stop.

I've come off the pill before and it hasn't been bad for me, really didn't feel much of a difference.

i went off the pill 4 months before the wedding after about 7 years on the pill... i havent seen a difference in my skin... but my periods are VERY VERY different!

i will spot for the first 2-3 days of my period, then i will have 2-3 heavy days, then i will spot for 2-3 days after the heavy days... my periods are lasting about 7 days... last months period lasted 9 days

my cramps are a TAD worse.. but i only get them for a day... my periods are the BIGGEST thing that changed

i was off BC for about 4months...and it was horrible - every period pain i had forgotten about while i was ON bc was back ugh. i'm sorry! maybe because u've been on it so long u wont see TOO much of a difference? i am on yaz and love it..aside from the lighter/no pain periods, i just like not having to worry many hopes that u have a good experience w/o it!

i just went off the pill in december of 08,

we are trying to do natural family planning to not get pregnant right now but want to be hormone free when we are ready....

first few cycles have kinda off, anywhere from 24 to 29 days long.....but now its really about 27-29 days

i was on BC for 7 years when i stopped taking it. i was pretty fortunate in that the only change i had was that i now had cramps. not bad cramps, i just went from having no cramps to some cramping. i didn't start breaking out until i actually got pregnant.

My periods were heavier after I went off bc and my cramps were definitely more intense. In about 3 months it sort of worked it self out. I didn't notice any changes in my skin.

I went of the pill in Dec. Ive pretty much went back to the way I was before I was on it which is totally irregular. I was on the pill for about 6 yrs.

im still on it - probably wont come off until next year when we are ready to try......i am AFRAID.....im hoping i get preggers quick so i dont have to live off the pill for that long i remember my periods were really bad when i was off BC and now they are nothing - barely cramps and just spotting! but ive been on the pill for a long time, 7 years, so im hoping my periods wont be that bad when i stop......

i actually hope im more horny once i go off......i hear the pill can lower your sex drive.....did that happen to anyone? increase sex drive? or no?

I have been on it forever. Your cycle changes every 7 years so you might see things will be different from when you were younger not as bad cramps etc.
