Do you want children?

NOOOOOOOOOOO,
I have always loved twins, and in a perfect world if I could have them in an instant we would think about it. But an honest answer, having kids physically scares me to death. Neither one of us have any interest in having any at this time in our life. Even though we love kids so much, all my friends thought I would get married very young and have many, but it was totally the opposite, I am one of the last of my friends to get married because I was so picky in life and we are pretty sure we dont want any. But its not out of the question, just we have our priorites which are building our new home in the spring, which we have been waiting to do for two years now, working hard to get that money up and we travel about 4-10 times a year, thats what makes us happy, maybe a few years from now things may change, but I doubt it, we love our life and are a bit selfish with our time, we do almost everything together and love to travel. So many of our friends are mad we go away, which is silly, they chose having a family we choose to travel there is no right or wrong here, its what makesyou happy in life. Plus we can watch my nieces, nephew or friends kids anytime, which we love to do, we also love to hand then back at the end of the day....he hehhehhhheeeee

We definately want a big family... 4 would be awesome. But in reality, we'll stop at 3.
It's not gunna be for quite some time though. We gotta get the hell outta oceanside first

I always wanted a big family, so I always said I'd like to have 4 kids. That would be in a perfect world where NY & kids didn't cost so much I think in reality, we definitely won't go over 3 though. Although my mom always says, 'just wait til you have one, then let me know how many you want..'

No...we do not planning on having any children. Neither of us have ever really had a desire to be parents even though we both love kids...other people's kids

Most likely not. I just think we like our lifestyle way too much. We travel a lot and spend money on stupid shiit. It would be hard to give up the way we live to have kids. We are gonna talk about it again in five years, but at this point not likely

I cannot wait!! In about 2 yrs we will start trying. I want 3 but realistically we'll probably have 2.

Yes - that is the one thing I have always known I wanted besides a wonderful DH

I agree..it's refreshing to have some people with the same idea!!...usually people look at those of us who don't want kids as selfish or there is something wrong with us...but to me knowing i am not willing to change my lifestyle for a child..and that being the reason to NOT have one is less selfish than the many people who have kids that don't really devote their time and energy into actually raising them the way they should.

A few of our friends have babies and I say 'oh how cute' then I'm done.....i'm just not the girl who wants to hold them and stands there gushing for 20 minutes.

Now if it were a puppy....it'd be a different story

OMG!!! Are you my long lost twin???? I always joke that I prefer puppie to babies!!!!!

I want 1 or 2 but Dh wants 3. I told him we will see how it goes with this one and take it from there. Well unless he wants to carry and birth the baby. Then we can have the three

Making the choice NOT to take on a responsibility you know you don't want isn't selfish. It's responsible. We don't want kids either... It is incredibly unfair for children to be born to parents that are anything other than willing, able, and excited to be parents. (ETA -- and I don't mean from the get-go -- some don't realize these feelings until they have them! We won't test this theory on me, though!)
