I was raised that you should never go without stockings, especially at work but mine tore bad and I took em off. Legs are bare but shaved thank God lol so I think I can get away with it with my knee-leght dress but is that tacky at work? Should I run out and get a pair at the Duane Read around the corner?

I never wear stockings. I have seen many people (women mostly) that don't wear them to the office. Good thing you shaved. Let your legs enjoy their freedom!!!

I haven't worn stockings since HS when it was part of the uniform. I don't even wear them in the middle of the winter. My mother HATES it but oh well!

Nope, I hate stockings... in my ex job I never wore skirts for that reason Here I just make sure that i have nice lotion on and it's deceiving if I have them on or not.

only in the winter time with a dress...but otherwise. i effing HATE stockings. i feel like my body is being poured into them and is overfilling at the top or somethiing.

I never wear stockings unless it's Winter time. I don't like stockings and I don't see a lot of women wearing them so much anymore.

Nope, don't wear them. Around here it's like the opposite - NO ONE wears stockings! Its totally fine. UNLESS it's part of your specific dress code at work, I think it's much more acceptable these days to go without stockings.

well i wear them too all the time, especailly since my office is always cold.
but if your day is almost over and its knee length, i wouldnt go to the store and get a pair, the day is almost over

Thanks girls. I think Im fine. I sit on my @ss most of the day anyway so no one sees my legs and the outfit is reserved as usual so I should be fine.
Peggy I atcually have a pair of those white little girl stockings Don't know why I bought them-nostalgia maybe but they look AWFUL on a grown woman. Really sald like a demented Alice.

that's a big nope! if you feel naked without 'em def go and get a pair but i never ever ever wear them...my 'office mom' here at work used to scold me all the time for coming to work 'bare legged' but i never paid her any mind. i hate the feeling of stockings!

Never. I wear tights in the winter, but once it gets remotely warm--it's no stockings for me. I work in a casual/fashion-y office, so luckily fo me, no stocking is not an issue.
