This subject just came up in our life, I am not ready for this and the reasons that he wants to move are crazy, everything I know is here, I am not ready to move yet. He is saying we should consider it b/c his son got accepted to a college in that state and the tuition would be cheaper, now if I have ever heard of a crazier reason. NY has my heart for now.

I realize that I'm not a newlywed yet...but I feel I need to jump in.
FH and I have been having this discussion also. Here in NY...I am the bread-winner and he is in a dead-end job that he hates. If we moved west (Oregon) or south (Florida), he could do much better. Me...I could get a job anywhere...I'm not too worried. But, I don't know if I could leave my family. Right now, we live in NJ (Bergen County). To get to LI, it's not to bad without traffic. I go out at least once a month if not more. If there's a family gathering, holiday, whatever...we just go. I feel I would miss out on so much if we were not able to go to these things. As someone else said...when we have children...I would want mom to be near-by in case I need something. But...then there are times I think I could handle it...a big house, nice weather. Ugh...I have no idea what we will do..but thanks for letting me add my $.02.
