Does anyone..

Re: Does anyone..

I really dont think that you are the only one. The thing is that with boards I think most people just write about the wonderful things that go on in our relationships, and how perfect things are. Arguments are natural in every relationship. When DH first moved in together we would argue non-stop (3 years ago). After the wedding things are pretty much normal- not too many fights BUT that is only bc with time we know each other living styles and what works for us.
Dont think that you are alone, bc I am sure we all have days when we want to choke our DH's whether everyone admits it or not.

OMG do we bicker! I was tough the first 3 mnths living together, and we still argue...I thought it wasn't normal but I guess adjusting to one another is a huge reason as to why we fight. I'm in school and so is he and we work full-time, so we are still getting used to one another..lol

OMG dont feel that way we all fight!!!

seriously, i was just about to post this - last night DH stuck his finger like all the way into a container of gravy to taste it and then put it in his mouth and back in again! I dont mean a finger tip i mean a whole finger!

so, i looked at him and told him he was disgusting and he called me a nasty old lady

this was like minutes after putting up our tree and being all lovey dovey!!

So we watched tv for an hour in separate rooms and then reunited again right before bed like nothing happened

im a nasty old lady and he is disgusting, we are bound to fight

Everyone fights... it is normal.... i sometimes think that way as well when reading posts on these boards, but then i think to myslef that of course people will post the good stuff and not the stuff about the huge fight you had with DH last night.... you never hear about the bad stuff, only the good stuff.

Yes, of course.

I think arguing or disagreeing is normal and healthy!! You are two people spending every single day together, of course there are going to be times when there is tension, or where you don't see eye to eye.

Re: Does anyone..

NO couple is perfect. We all have our 'stuff' that we deal with! our pre-marital counselors told us perfectly 'If you fight over an issue, it's just because you care!' Fighting is healthy.. now i will say that josh & i try our best not to fight over petty stuff/little things. We catch each other, laugh & will say 'we are NOT fighting over this!' so we are blessed in the sense where we make it a point to try to keep that to a minimum...but when we do fight, we FIGHT.! lol. don't worry - u're not alone.

Arguing is defninitely a natural part of a relationship. But then you compromise and move on.

Those are definitely hot topics too - our biggest fights are over family - it sux and it takes a toll on your relationship - but what can you do?

Yeah, we fight sometmes but it is really over silly stuff. I think the things that upset him are stupid and he should pick his battles more carefully but If I tell him that he gets upset because he thinks I am trivializing his feelings. He is more of the girl in this relationship than me. He is very sensitive. I am still learning how to deal with his sensitivity.

Newlywed Bliss lasted a few hours!! I think we had our first tiff on the way to the airport heading out for our HM.
Just this weekend someone told us that the first year of marriage is hardest!
Your not alone!!
