Does anyone DH work a different schedule then they do
I work a straight 9 to 5, but dh works a 3 to 12AM. We have different days off. Sometimes, I don't see him at all M-F. Nor talk to him. It is really awful. I have so much free time, I don't know what to do with myself. I go to school pt, but still end up being bored all of the time.Am I the only one out there with this situation.

I work M-F 10-6, DH works retail so his schdule changes on a weekly basis, but lately, he's had nothing but closing shifts where he goes in at 1 or 2 and comes home between 10-11pm. No saturdays together....but we've had most Sundays together thankfully!

Luckily, but these horrible work schedules make me so mad
. Like right now, I am waiting for him, to come home. Providing I don't fall asleep, before he get in.

Sort of. DH teaches college, and he has a night class on Monday so he goes from about 9 am to 9 pm. Then he works from home Tuesdays and Fridays and gets home at about 7 on Thursdays. We usually get home about the same time on Weds. It's actually OK with me because I get a little time to myself but we still have time with each other. I teach also so I usually get home at 3. Though none of our vacations during the year coincide- I am off in Feb, then he's off in March, I am off in April and he finishes in May.

I work nights and DH works days. He works 5 days a week while I work 3 days so we do see each other. So far it works for us it makes our time together all the more special I think.

Re: Does anyone DH work a different schedule then they do
I work until 3pm-4pm everyday and DH works 2-11pm. I am dead asleep by the time he comes home and he is sleeping when I leave at 6:30am. I certainly know what you mean. You have to find things to keep you busy. There are pros and cons to having opposite shifts. It is great having your alone time when you need it. It is nice not to have to worry about calling home if you are going to be late, or to go out with friends to dinner and not have to worry about someone being upset. But it does get lonely and eating dinner alone every night completely stinks! You get married and one of the perks is supposed to be not feeling alone anymore. Believe me I know.FM if you ever need to talk.

Re: Does anyone DH work a different schedule then they do
I work retail and DH works a 8-6 type of job so there are days we work opposite. I work until 10pm every Tuesday and every other Wednesday. We ususally get home together on Mondays. I usually beat him home on Thursdays and Fridays. I also work one weekend a month and he doesn't work any.It works for us though. I think it gives us the alone time that couples need.
