Does anyone else........?

......miss being a bride?

The other night I saw the episode of Friends where it is the day after Chandler and Monica's wedding and she's all upset that she's not a bride anymore. She says 'now I'm not a bride anymore.....I'm just someone's wife.....I have nothing to look forward to.'

I was laughing so hard because I felt the same way, and still feel it a little. Don't get me wrong, I love my husband and being married, but I want to wear my dress again and pick out flowers and stuff.

OMG YES!!!!!! I think mostly because (I'm old ) and waited so long for that day to come!!! I definately don't miss the stress, but what I miss the most is the anticipation and excitement of my wedding day. We got our video last week and watched it and as happy as I was to see it over again (and over and over, I can't stop watching it!) it made me a little sad at the same time.

I definately went through a period of slight depression after the honeymoon.

I have my tiara on my dresser and I look ay it daily and want to wear it again..

No. Now I get to enjoy being a guest at OTHER people's weddings. The stress of being a bride is not something I will miss. I have pictures and a video to remind me of what was the happiest day of my life.

only when I go to stores like Fortunoff and see the engaged ladies registering. I miss that part - a lot! is that weird?

No way... I totally enjoy having my life back not being consumed by wedding everything. Plus, this site is a great way to still feel involved in wedding planning through other brides...just not to the extreme as if it was your own.

I keep getting asked when are we going to pick the pictures for our album...I am sooooo wedding'd out! I'm hoping that when we get the video we'll be excited again.

Me either. I had a wonderful time on the day of, but the planning was something I mostly did not enjoy, and I love being married. Now the honeymoon, that's something I miss!

I totally want to do it all again! It was the best day of my life and I want to re-live that joy. I also want to finish my honeymoon that got cut short!!!! Maybe for my 1 year anniversary! It was fun to watch our video, though, and 're-live' it as much as we could.

But yes - I do miss the planning, the dress, but mostly the day!

I would LOVE to do my day all over again. But I did not enjoy the planning, it was stressful to me. I really look forward to offering advice to some newly engaged friends (if they want it) and attending their ceremonies/receptions! I definitely have a new appreciation for weddings.
