Does anyone else have this ridiculous issue?

Does anyone else have this ridiculous issue?

Hi ladies

Ok so I am annoyed today because the wardrobe is malfunctioning. I am wearing a pencil skirt as usual and as usual, the sucker rides up on me. I get 'turny skirt syndrome' everytime I wear a skirt.

I have a really large difference between my waist and hips-26 inches(waist) and 40inches(hips/booty) SOOOOO I have to fit my hips which means my waist is always swimming on me. I also have LONG legs but a midget torso whcih doesn't help with fit becasue of the super short distance between waist and ribcage.

I have gotten some skirts altered so the waist is tighter but they STILLL shift!!!! Its annoying as crap because thats how I ended up that day showing off my fishnets to the whole damn office! As I walk, it keeps spinning so the split ends up on all sides except in the back so its like a constant rotating peep show.

This skirt is high waisted (SUCH a cute outfit I must say! I look very sexy secretary lmao) so I figured ok it will stay in place cause its only a bit big but NOPE. Soon as the hips starts swaying, the sucker starts turning.

Does this happen to anyone else? HOW do you fix it!????????

LOL ah ever the helpful one Cooks. Missed you!.

Seriously though, someone else out there has to have this issue. Its a real PITA because I walk everywhere so not exactly great to have your skirt giving free advertising of the goods wherever you go.

How do you fix it? You just keep adjusting it? DANGIT LOL we need to find a solution. It happens when I wear any skirt-the A-line too but if they're flowy its not as bad because you can't tell. But with a pencil you get those damn wrinkles and a split crotch

I have one in particular that has slits on the sides. When that sucker rotates I may as well invite people in for coffee.

i still crack up every time i think of your story when you ran through the office with your skirt around your waist

i kinda have the same problem too.. i have around the same measurements as you so it IS hard to find sh!t that fits. the only difference is that i can wear PJs to work if I wanted, so i dont have to deal with it daily. only on occasion

lets just say im blessed to have a family that all sews

Jenn, I have the SAME issue! I'm technically one size smaller on top than I am on the bottom, so skirts always turn on my and ride up to right under my bra! SO ANNOYING. I have just started to avoid wearing skirts ... unfortunately I don't have a good answer as to how to fix it - I just keep adjusting it all day.

The only remedy I can think of is to use Hollywood Tape and stick it to your legs, I guess...

Me too, same problem. It's such a PITA buying jeans and such b/c my waist is so much smaller than my hips and booty. Maybe you could take them to the cleaners and have them altered?

I did do that but only so much you cn take in you know. otherwise you get poofy spots so they made them as tight as possible but still gaps. I think i'll just start following Yesi and wearing pants

Big ouch !
That stuff hurts when it comes off !
Used it on my wedding dress to keep the sleeves up. Left nice big welts on my shoulders.

Hi body twin
Same thing happens to me
it's b/c our hips are bigger than our waist and the skirt therefore will always ride up
that's why I don't wear skirts

That's so funny, I just realized after reading this that I rarely wear my skirts too!! And I have a bunch of them! If I have to do laundry, I'll wear a pair of pants that are a little big on me than wear a skirt!

I can NOT wear pencil skirts. The minute I start walking, my budunkadunk raises it!!! I gave up on pencil skirts years ago, and it stinks cause I love they way they look on me!!! Maybe we should crazy glue the material to our legs. Hey beauty if pain baby!
