Does anyone else have this ridiculous issue?

Original post by PeteysBride

Hi ladies

Ok so I am annoyed today because the wardrobe is malfunctioning. I am wearing a pencil skirt as usual and as usual, the sucker rides up on me. I get 'turny skirt syndrome' everytime I wear a skirt.

I have a really large difference between my waist and hips-26 inches(waist) and 40inches(hips/booty) SOOOOO I have to fit my hips which means my waist is always swimming on me. I also have LONG legs but a midget torso whcih doesn't help with fit becasue of the super short distance between waist and ribcage.

I have gotten some skirts altered so the waist is tighter but they STILLL shift!!!! Its annoying as crap because thats how I ended up that day showing off my fishnets to the whole damn office! As I walk, it keeps spinning so the split ends up on all sides except in the back so its like a constant rotating peep show.

This skirt is high waisted (SUCH a cute outfit I must say! I look very sexy secretary lmao) so I figured ok it will stay in place cause its only a bit big but NOPE. Soon as the hips starts swaying, the sucker starts turning.

Does this happen to anyone else? HOW do you fix it!????????

Me! I have similar measurements...27' waist and 39' hips and bootie. My skirts, pencil and a-line always twist around. I haven't found a fix, but I wonder if taking it in at the waist would help.

I tried that. Doesnt help too much because we have that big difference so they can only take it in so much before our hips say HELL NO lol. One of my skirts fits GREAT after the laterations at the wasit BUT...I have broken the zipper once already with trying to slide it over my hips! So yea...alterations aren'tt so much our friend either

Hi body twin
Same thing happens to me
it's b/c our hips are bigger than our waist and the skirt therefore will always ride up
that's why I don't wear skirts

YAY I have body twins, triples, quadruplets out there! It is a PITA! Pants are worse for me lol> FINDING ones thet fit...OYE!

omg - i have the same issue..... only my waist is 26 & hips 37 1/2....so i can not even imagine what u're going through! it's either u get the shift, or u get the big gap in the back. uuuugh annoyyyiingg i'm of no help on how to fix it - i usually just tug at it all day...it's a shame because i really hardly wear them now, but when i do DH loves it. i think the hollywood tape may be an excellent idea - if u try it let me know if it works!
