Does anyone have a recipe for...

a good cold crab meat dip. Simple or hard does not matter. Something that would go well with crackers like townhouse....

Thank you so much. I have the inlaws coming and I wanted to try something new....

Here it is...

Crab Dip

1 can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 envelope of unflavored Knox Gelatin
3 Tsp Cold Water
¾ cup of Mayonnaise
1 8oz.. Cream Cheese
1 cup Celery (chopped small and squeeze out the water)
2 Tbs Onion (finely chopped)
1 lb. crab (or shrimp)

Heat the mushroom soup.
Add Mayonnaise, Celery, Cream Cheese and Onion and mix well.
Put the Gelatin in a coffee cup (or something similar) and add the cold water.
Then, add the gelatin to the other ingredients already in the pot (or bowl). Mix well.
Last, add the crab (or shrimp) and mix well.
If you have a jello mold that will hold this, it’s perfect, if not, you can use a bowl.
Lightly coat the mold or bowl with oil.
Pour the mix into the mold or bowl.
Cover and refrigerate with plastic wrap overnight.

Note: I usually use shrimp and it is excellent, but I have had it with the crab and it is just as good. To me, the ingredients sound kind of crazy, but the combo when it is done is great!

Also, I usually just heat everything in the microwave instead of on the stove. You can do it either way.

In case you can't read it, it calls for 3/4 cup of mayonnaise.

Also, I would chop up the crab or shrimp kind of small as well.

i have one that's reaaaaaly easy!!

2 packs of lump crab meat
1 1/2 block of cream cheese
2 tbsp of horseradish
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp cocktail sauce

When ready to serve, chill, and cover with cocktail sauce.

I mold it into like a blob and then pour the sauce over it and put triscuit around it......
