Does anyone's DH not cook?

Does anyone's DH not cook?

I noticed on a few of the recent posts that many of your DHs cook. Is mine the only one that doesn't cook at all?

(except soup and sandwich )

Mine doesn't cook either... I mean he doesn't cook anything!!! The occasional sandwich but if I'm not in the mood to cook he's takes care of ordering dinner... LOL.

Mine does not cook because he does not have any time.

Mine CAN cook but usually doesn't unless it's eggs for breakfast!

That honestly is the only thing that he is really old fashioned about!

mine doesn't cook but knows how. Since we have been married, he cooked twice!

My DH is a great cook, probably better than I am, but he rarely cooks.

When we first moved in together, he was on disability, he cooked almost every night, but not anymore, for a long time

What bothers me the most, and I'm sure some you ladies, that when he does cook, once or twice a year, he makes ME clean it up!

Hellooo, when I cook do you clean up?!? I don't think so!

Mine doesn't cook either!! At all..it's takeout or I have to cook. It s*cks! I think he just has no desire to learn.

Mine has no desire to learn either, but he can stand there and tell me what he thinks I'm doing wrong So of course I tell him, well then you cook

Nope my DH does not cook ... though I will admit that he's actually 'attempted' to cook a lot more often than I have. He has made chicken and makes great omellettes (does that count?) So he has the ability, just not the interest (much like myself)

And since I don't cook either, I really cannot get on his case about it .. He is pretty good about other things around the house, so I feel it definitely balances out.

Unfortunately the bottom line for both of us is that we get home so late and eat SO differently, neither of us are inspired to do any sort of cooking when we can conveniently prepare our own dishes, or order what we truly want, elsewhere

Nope, DH doesn't cook. Ok, well he can make hamburgers and made me a steak dinner for Valentine's Day. But other than that, he doesn't cook. He really doesn't want to either! But he recognizes how hard it is and that I do it for him all the time, so occasionally he'll pitch in.

Actually, I forgot about the grill. In the summertime he cooks a lot of things on the grill (fish, burgers, steaks, chicken). You could imagine how much I take advantage of that I always take care of any cooking in the kitchen.

I am actually lucky, my DH probably cooks more during the week than I do becuase he gets home first! However its always EASY stuff! But he cleans too so I dont care what he cooks!

My dad on the other hand is HELPLESS in the kitchen! I am pretty sure that since my mom died, unless me and my brothers are there, he only eats soup and sandwiches! Although he makes stuff up everytime I ask! Yet if you check the cabinets or freezer, the contents look very similar to what was there back in October!

DH is learning - which I love. Last night he broiled a steak, made herbed rice and spinach (although frozen). The fact that he tries and is willing to learn means more to me than anything. On days that he is off from work or beats me home is when he is responsible for the cooking. And whoever cooks, the other one cleans up!

Mine does . He gets home 2 1/2 hours earlier and plus he cooks a lot better than I do!

My DH will only 'cook' something if it's microwavable, or if it takes less than 10 minutes to bake in the oven or heat in a pan. He will help ME cook though, which I'm fine with.

Grilling is not limited to summertime! I was out in the snow the other night grilling!

The only thing mine cooks is chicken on the Gorge Foreman and occasional steak on the grill. I think once we got married, he forgot how to do it though.
