So does it take time??? Ive been to 2 weddings since mine, and they just make me sad to see things look so right for theirs, knowing what went wrong at mine. Will I ever stop feeling like my wedding wasnt good?

one of things I started doing was hosting dinner. We use the fine china, crystal, silver. Believe me, it takes so much time to clean, cook, and prepare that you can't even think about the wedding. Then people come over, see a picture in a frame and tell me how great my wedding was. That makes me happy!!!

Sometimes, I also start a new 'project'. I have over 1200 proofs with negatives. I only used about 80 images in frames, gifts, etc. So, I recently started going back through them and framing some different ones. I invited our moms over to go through the proofs again and see if they wanted any more.

And, we're always doing a 'home improvement' even painting the bottom trim of the dining room took 1/2 a day.

And, I volunteer to help others with their parties. my godson is being baptised on Thanksgiving weekend. I keep telling me cousin that I'll make the centerpieces and favors. Soon, I'm going to start looking for ideas on that stuff.

Just keep yourself busy with fun stuff!

I hope you ladies are right! And being that you have been married longer than me, I will start thinking so.

Much like the other newlyweds, I can't help but re-live what 'went wrong'...still have not been able to speak to my mom after the wedding (if you read my review, she left a BM without a dress, made my dress late, and in general wsa not there as the 'mom' role I wish she would have filled). Feel awful for not making it to every table; am upset that the hall put table numbers in back of my names (my analness dictated that no numbers should be on the table, and if they must - why put standard ugly ones?)...and I can go on and on.

Hopefully, once I get the pics I'll feel better...I really hope so!

Thanks BM for posting this! And as an side note - your wedding looked beautiful and loved filled, just from the pics you posted.

Re: Does it just take time?

I found that I was extremely agitated on the way home from the honeymoon upset about my dress, which had come apart at the end of my wedding. But after talking to people who were genuinely enthusiastic and pleased about our wedding and after settling into married life and loving it, I just feel blessed to have had such a wonderful wedding day and to have married the man of my dreams.

I'm glad to hear you all had similar feelings. I've been back from my HM 1 week, and I can't stop thinking about little things that I should have done. My wedding was beautiful, everyone loved it, and my husband and I danced and had fun. Yet silly things are bothering me.
-I Didn't make it to every table.
-I'm so mad at myself for not reapplying lipstick. I have beautiful pictures, but I think I could have looked better in some if I had lipstick on. OK that's the big one,...My family thinks I'm crazy.
- It went so fast...
- And I think I'm in a weird funk because my wedding planning is over. What did I do before I was planning a wedding ????
