I've had my ears pierced since I was three. I'm THIRTY. If I don't wear earrings to bed, the back of my ear holes close up every night and I have to re-poke them in the morning! W t f ?

TMI, but do they get crusty? my ears are so sensitive and if i don't wear real gold they get really nasty and then they hurt for days after.
mine do!!! if i wear anything but gold they get itchy and red and disgusting!

doesn't happen with my ears.....i haven't worn earrings in my second hole for at least a year and i bet if i wanted to stick an earring in there i could probably poke through the back
what is really weird is that my nose ring always closed so fast - so fast that i lost my nose ring one night and then next day it was totally closed up - then didn't get it re-pierced until i met DH which was like a year or two later.....ever since then i was so afraid of not having a stud in b/c i figured the hole would close up fast again....(not to be gross, but the inside of your nose where it is kind of wet closed really fast the first time).........the morning we left for our HM i took out my nose ring and wanted to put in a new one for the vacation - except we were so late to the airport that i forgot! i realized it was missing as we were boarding the plane.....i was so upset that i cried b/c i had a feeling it would close by the time we got off the plane ....the whole HM i had no nose ring.......then the night we got back i was curious to try - and i was able to pop that sucker right back in.......it was so weird that it stayed open over a week i mean the inside hurt and i had to poke it really hard, but i couldn't believe i was able to get it in.....
i remember when i let my tongue ring hole close up it used to feel so creepy when i would drink, like the hole felt huge when i would drink something! yuck!
