I went out to lunch with some co-workers today when the waiter accidentaly and stupidly spills blue cheese dressing on my brand new wine colored cotton dress from Ann Taylor .
I hate stains. I love blue cheese, no clue how to get the stains out. They look a bit darker. When we were there, they gave me club soda and a Tide stick...still stained.
Is there a miracle cure or should I just bring it to the dry cleaners and tell them what I tried? The restaurant will pay for the cleaning. But I want to know if there is any possible way to get it out. Should I just wait? Do those stains tend to at least fade to where people won't notice?
I would take it right to the dry cleaners. My dry cleaner told me that the best thing to do is nothing...just take it to them and tell them what it is. I actually set some stains into my new white sweater by trying to get them out
Don't treat it yourself, you could set it in and make it worse. Take it to the cleaners as soon as possible, the sooner the better. But I have to say they kinda work miracles, DH got grease on a brand new shirt on HM, and I kinda took a long time to unpack, then I just threw the clothes to go the dry cleaners on the floor of our closet for ohh I'd say well over a month, and then brought it to them, at more then the 2 month mark, it was a pretty big stain, they got it all out!! so don't worry, just tell them what it was and they will work their magic!
oh that is horrible... and go figure, i made a thread today about what everyone was having for lunch. of course you had to get blue cheese spilled on you...
i agree with the other girls.. go take it to the dry cleaners and have them try and do it.
I agree with everyone else take it to the cleaners. I know it sounds weird but any stains that I cant get out on the first try I use shampoo on and they come out,,,esp. those annoying grease stains!!! Good luck!
