Dress Preserving

Dress Preserving

After hearing so many horror stories, I am now petrified to get my dress preserved. What has everyone done and can you please recommend a reliable company?

TIA

Re: Dress Preserving

I preserved my gown through the bridal store where I purchased it... they use Wedding Gown Preservation Co. here is a link LINKY
it looks great although I did not take it out to see if it was properly cleaned because I know I wont be able to put it back in like that... the skirt of my gown has roses on it, they had to take them off to get it cleaned and then they put them back on (I had to pay extra $20.00 for it) anyways, I paid $170.00 in total...

Re: Dress Preserving

My mom looked into for me while I was away on my honeymoon. She said there is a place close to our house that wants $150 on a hanger and $200 preserved.

Does that sound about right?

That is more than right. I work at W57th Street and the cleaners here is telling me about $450 depends on the train and the lace. As much as I want the best service for my dress I refuse to pay that much. I am still looking around.

That is to darn expensive. I guess it is just W57th street price. It all boils down to location. I know one thing I will not pay that price.

OMG - my Mom is paying $300 to have my dress & veil cleaned and preserved. I *thought* that was average. It is all lace, but still!

Why don't I learn to check with you girls before I do anything?!?!
