erased all of my honeymoon pic off my digital!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

deleted over 90 pics from my digital of our honeymoon.. i was in tears. We took so many pics of some great sites, romantic dinners, sunsets, etc. and i decide to play with the camera b/c i was bored on the plane. Well i i decided to find out what format means and i found out quickly- it cleared my whole disk!!!

thank god i took 5 rolls of my 35 mm camera and a throw away when we went parasailing or I would only have memories of my honeymoon-

how could i have been so stupid. husband was so calm about it. but he made a point why would i touch buttons when i had no clue what they were for.

i learned my lesson..

oh and all of my cute bachelorette pics are gone also.!!!!!!

Oh ... I am so sorry. I did this once to my DH's friend's camera ... I felt horrible!!!

I think they are gone for good, but I'm not 100% sure.

There's a program you can download that will let you recover most pictures off a media card that has been formatted. Something like this happened to us once.

I'll check the name when I get home tonight. The program is about $40 but it will let you test it out before you buy it to see if the pictures are recoverable.

definitely check into the recovery scenarios, although i have never heard of being able to retrieve an image after a reformat. delete is one thing, but reformat is another. hopefully i am wrong and there is a way for you to save them!

you may be able to get some/all...DON'T TAKE ANY PICTURES ON TOP OF IT...


it depends on the amount of files that have been erased...

I hope the program works for you...also call around to some experts...there may even be a company that accepts donated computers...they will usually 'scrub' the harddrive to get rid of the deleted-not deleted files... maybe they know how to get them back...

Oh No!!! Im so sorry!!!

I am so sorry but at least you have some rolls of film to develop!
I would take it to a camera shop to see if there is anyway to recover them.
