ETA

how do you feel when someone edits their posts but does NOT write 'ETA' with the reason they edited their post?

i've been wondering this a lot lately lol... mainly b/c most of the time, i dont put ETA with a reason of why i edited... then i think that ladies may think im being shady lol i dont know why i think that... but i just see a lot of people who do 'ETA: spelling errors' or something like that

whie most of the time my ETAs are spelling errors, or i re read what i posted and think of a better way to say what i wanted to say

i hardly ever unless it's to add something..and most of the time i add something i just do another post. i usually just edit for spelling reasons & don't find the need to put it

i edit 99% of what i write - usually b/c i forgot a word or something like that

and i never use ETA

edited b/c i forgot to say 'and i never use ETA'

which i just did and never do but you see, i really edit 99% of what i write!

I really don't put any thought on that. I would think someone would ETA just to correct their spelling, or to be more clear or to add some extra thoughts, but that's about it. I really wouldn't know why any one would be 'shady' when ETA

me neither. i think its my own crazy assumption i've made up in my head lol

i guess i think that if i dont put 'ETA' people may think 'wow why didnt she explain why she edited her post ' lol

Usually if I edit a post its b/c I caught a typo after I read it over, so I don't usually add the tag, I just fix it and move on.

BUT don't you always wonder when it says a post as been edited, and the poster just DELETES the whole post? I always want to know what it originally said.

yeah that shouldnt be allowed at all. I hate sitting here wondering what craziness was there before it was deleted

a lot of times i find that when this happens, someone on the thread has already quoted what they posted before they took it down so you get to see the after all!
