ETA

that's funny because I always thought it was ODD when people DO say why they edited. Like why do I care why you edited what you wrote? That's not really my business. lol. But then after seeing how many girls do that, I also began to wonder if I seemed shady by not doing so. haha.

I usually only edit for spelling mistakes or if it didn't make sense so I needed to reword. The only time i write ETA is if I had ANOTHER thought to add, but didn't wanna make a whole other post on it. Then I'll just be like 'ETA - i like your shoes' or whatever

It's rare that I give an explanation for Edits, but I try. Don't wanna make people go 'something's fishy with that gal' heehee

lol. That's funny. If I ever need to delete an entire post (which has probably only happened once or twice) then I always explain why. Mainly it would be because i realize that i have given TMI and I wouldn't want that sitting online for all eternity. lol. I usually assume that other girls have the same reason for doing so.

I used to write on this other forum though and on that one you CAN NOT delete or edit your posts at all. I couldn't handle it after a while and just stopped writing there. It's too frustrating. Sometime you say something that's already been said, or you realize you gave TMI or you just look like an idiot due to spelling errors. I don't want to click 'Post Reply' and that's just IT. I started re-reading my stuff over & over before posting to the point that it became way to stressful. lol. (yeah, I over think things) I just couldn't take it anymore!!

how do you feel when someone edits their posts but does NOT write 'ETA' with the reason they edited their post?

i've been wondering this a lot lately lol... mainly b/c most of the time, i dont put ETA with a reason of why i edited... then i think that ladies may think im being shady lol i dont know why i think that... but i just see a lot of people who do 'ETA: spelling errors' or something like that

whie most of the time my ETAs are spelling errors, or i re read what i posted and think of a better way to say what i wanted to say

Michelle you are funny. I am shady too, i rarely put ETA, usually it is for spelling or grammar. Sometimes though it is bc I feel like I want to add or just say something differently.

I dont put ETA unless I add something. I dont use ETA when I edit spelling errors.

at moments I leikta keep errows cux I know invisals leik heatha loves then. Expecial went the speller is sooooo bed than you cant talk the pernt

im so happy we had this discussion!! now i will never self conscience again when i DONT use ETA lol
