Why can't I get motivated-- before the wedding I was all into the details of everything-- and with moving to a new place and doing work.. I am just done with the wedding stuff...
I can't get motivated..
Don't know why.. it's only like 1000 pictures to look through and choose..

Honestly, I wasn't thrilled about choosing my album either. It was a lot of work. Not only picking the pics, but making sure you have all the parts of the day covered, making sure you have both sides of the family represented evenly, putting the pics in the right order...
Aren't we past the work part of this thing yet? I thought we graduated already!

If this makes you feel better, I have friends who got married in Sept of '02 and they STILL HAVE NOT done their album!!!!

I can relate as well. We have 900 proofs to go through and the only reason we are doing it this weekend is because we are moving in January and want to go over everything with Duet before we go. I want to have the layout done before we go.

I dropped off our pictures for the albums yesterday... also, I picked up my thank yous so another thing to do now... when does it end?

Don't feel bad...it took me forever to get started and then even longer to finish my album.
I think right afterward you need a little time to recoup from all wedding, all the time. As long as your photographer doesnt put a timeline on you, I'd wait until you are excited to be donig it.

We only JUST made our appt the other day. And really it's only because our photographer makes you do it within a year after your wedding or you have to pay a penalty (surprise, surprise from this photographer). I'm SOOOOOO done with wedding stuff, it's really annoying to have to go back and deal with an album but I figure we'd just do it and then we can really be totally done.

Don't feel bad, I was married 13 months when I did my album and I *still* haven't chosen my portraits or the songs for my video.
And honestly, it was better for me to wait to do the album because it made narrowing down my choices that much easier since the emotional attachment to some of the pics had faded.

Ok-- as long as there are other slackers out there..
We got a notice in the mail-- I guess cause we passed the 6 month mark...
My goal is to get to it before the end of the year...
It is very daunting.. I mean- I couldn't wait to get the pics-- and I guess I was not blown away and now I don't want to deal.. I got tile and wallpaper to pick out!!

i thought i was the only one --so not into it at all --i canceled our first appt --and don't really know when i will be motivated enough to make another one!

Ugh...add me to the list of the unmotivated! I'm slowly getting through the thank-you's. I figure after they're all out then I really have to focus on picking through the proofs. And we MUST get the songs to the videographer!

I waited 8 months before deciding on my proofs, and then another 3 months deciding on layout... so don't feel bad! I found it easiest to divide the proofs into categories (like portraits of me alone, ceremony pictures, cake cutting pictures, dancing pictures), and then tried to select one from each category so I got the whole day included in the album, then I went back and selected any additional favorites I had.
