I'm paranoid and freak EVERY MONTH. We arent ready now and even though it wouldnt be the worst thing I'd rather wait.

i dont know what i would think - i think we'd make it work but financially we aren't ready yet - we want to have a really comfortable lifestyle and throwing a kid into the mix would mess things up for us for sure - it would mean that we'd be rushing for the next 9 months trying to figure out ways to make thing work - instead of getting to take our time with our house and stuff like want to.....we would def have to sacrifice a lot and that would be hard....i want to wait until we are in a good position with money and comfortable in our home and neighborhood before we try - i want to give my kids the world, it would kill me to think that i cant give my kids more b/c i was irresponsible and messed up by not planning things....so i guess i would be happy and disappointed at the same time.....but now that we are married i would at least look at it as more of a blessing then a curse before the wedding i think i would have wanted to commit suicide if i found out i got pregnant on accident - but now i am starting to get twinges of baby fever and i feel more settled and ready....but yeah, if i had a scare i would still probably freak for sure b/c deep down i know i am NOT ready mentally or financially - i think once we own a home i will feel more comfortable with the prospect of a baby - we've been living together 4 years already so its not like we need that time to settle in as newlyweds like couples who never lived together before....but still mentally i dont think we are ready yet - not ready for the sacrifices....right now we live for us - when you have a baby you live for them - thats a tough pill to swallow

well, I haven't had any REAL scares, except my own unique paranoia. lol. On the BC I was on, I'm SUPPOSED to get my period on the third Wednesday of every month, but usually it won't come until Saturday (but never later than that). Even though I KNOW this - I still got nervous each time it didn't come on it's scheduled time (even though it never did anyway) Especially when Saturday morning would come - I'd have an hour or two of going CRAZY (it always showed up tho).

The reason i get so nervous though is because we are not ready for children and are soo far from wanting any right now. So that does cause a bit of paranoia even tho we ARE careful. Right now I'm even off BC just because I ran out and am waiting to get back on (it'll be a couple weeks). DH will NOT even ATTEMPT to do anything without a condom. lol. I think I got him as paranoid as I am. Woops!

We aren't ready at this very minute, but if it happened, after the shock went away, we'd be happy. We are, however, not trying. I'm on BC

Yeah, isn't that weird?? Even while using protection you can still get nervous about it. lol. i just feel like this time together WITHOUT kids is sooo important for us, that it makes me paranoid that things could go another direction before I'm ready.

Me too. I mean I usually get it Tuesday or Wednesday, well it didn't happen until this morning. My stomach was in knots

Im not on the pill but always wanted to wait a little more. Now that i am having some possible reproductive issues, im scared and kind of wish i was pregnant now.

sometimes I freak out like OMG what if i dont get my period.

but I know that we would make it work and obviously love the baby no matter what so it is scary because we dont feel ready right now, but if it came we would just BE ready because we had to be.

if that makes sense?

I've had a couple of scares in the past few years. Before we were married I would freak out. DH got to know the drill I would be late for a week or two and he would be off to cvs to buy a test. I would get soo upset but that was usually because I was pmsing and my period would come a day or two later. Now that we are married and we want children but aren't currently ttc DH and I get a little sad when my period comes. I think were secretly hoping for a surprise. However, we want to wait before ttc because we want to save more money and get a new car first. So yeh I think we would be a little scared if it were to happen right now.

Yes! I just went through one! Nelly I am like you - I have been super nauseous lately and i was a few days late (I am on the pill, but I forgot to take it one night until the next morning - ok i forgot 2 nights - and so my cycle was messed up) ... this was last week ... don't you know i got a pg test and it was negative, and THAT NIGHT I started getting crampy.

yes. i've been on the pill for 7 years and i am VERY regular. if i'm even a few hours 'late' i freak out. i never used to worry until 9 months before my wedding date but right now would be an awful time for us to get pregnant.

it would really screw things up for us... i dont know what we would do
