Ever get or send a message that was meant for someone else?

Have you ever emailed something embarrassing to the wrong person or gotten something that was clearly not meant for you? The other day my friend got a text from one of his male friends that said something like: hey sweetness, haven't talked to u all day, love u so much

i emailed an ENTIRE copied and pasted AIM conversation I had with my ex boyfriend TO HIM...

I meant to send it to my girlfriend...

A girl I used to work with once tried to send me an email saying 'I'm going to sneak out early. Cover me.' But she sent it to our boss instead.

that's amazing. I worked at a law firm one summer with a bunch of dumb interns (not knocking interns, I was one of them!). whenever someone couldn't find one of the attorneys, their secretary would email this alias that had the whole firm on it and say something like 'if you see blahblah, please ask him to call his office.' One day there was one with a funny name - a senior partner. Dumb Intern #1 means to forward the mail to her alias of other dumb interns, but instead hits reply and sends the ENTIRE FIRM a snark-o-gram making fun of this person's name.

I once sent an email to a *friend* knocking the president of our university, comparing him to mr burns from the simpsons... that person found it so funny, they forwarded it to someone ... and so on and so on....

nothing ever happened but I was worried for a while because it got BACK TO ME

Oh also, SAME GIRL who sent the 'cover me' email:

Everyday at that firm, the chef would send out a menu of what was for lunch. That day there was fish. She meant to FORWARD a comment to a few of us but instead did a 'reply to all' to the ENTIRE FIRM saying 'barf on scrod'. People still haven't let her live it down.

what a funny thread! When Dh and I were only dating, we had an over the phone argument and I (thought I) text my friend (who was my MOH) telling her what a douche bag he was...nope!!! Sent it to him! Needless to say he was PISSED!

oooh, ive done this a handful of times and have been the reciever of such messages as well. when its happened, theyve said...'have you opened your email?! no? ok! dont open! just delete!' and i think ive always obliged, assuming its something i probably dont want to see/read.

when dh and i were still long distance, we emailed alot. i had this dream about him and the content was...a little weird and just slightly romantic. i emailed him about it...BUT IT WENT TO MY MOM AND SISTERS! they called and were like...um jess...were we supposed to read that? it was kinda weirddd.

and when i was muchhh younger, i was on the phone w/ my boyfriend at the time and a guy i liked much more clicked in on call waiting. i got confused with the phone call and told my current bf something to the effect of 'yea, hold on...im just trying to get rid of him. we're so over!' so yea, told my bf i couldnt wait to dump his @ss and hang out w/ another guy. smoooooth.

ive had lots of embarrassing stuff like this happen, ive tried to block them out!

Ive done the call waiting thing toooo many times to count.

a friend of mine, her and all her sisters make up their christmas lists and then send them to each other with each ones pasted below... so one of the sisters adds, I want mom and name (her bf's name) to get lost in the bremuda triangle.

well needless to say, one of the sisters forgot that one of them had that and sent it on its way to their mom..
