I had my own place for 6 years. I had roomates for 3 more years before that......and college before that. Anyone else ever have their own place?

Yes, and I think it's one of the best things I ever did.
ETA - Certainly I'm much happier being married, but living alone for a while, knowing I could make it on my own, and learning to be responsible for just me was great for me to do.

Nope....Parents then with DH. I never would've left my parents house if I hadn't gotten married!!! I loved not having to worry about making my bed, or doing my own laundry!! It was the best!!!!

I did for a little over a year. I miss have my own place because it used to stay nice and clean without DH there to mess it up. But I used to get really lonely being by myself.
