Exercise

I really want to try and pick up an exercise routine because I have gotten very fat and I don't want to have to count calories. I want to tone up and feel healthier.

Now keep in mind, I normally do ZERO exercise. I sit in front of the computer 24/7 (and am usually stuffing my face while I do it).

To start off, is 25 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes of yoga for 5 days week good enough? (=45 min per day for 5 days) What should I start out with and what should my goal be in the long term?

i think that sounds like a great start. i personally like pilates more than yoga, so i would suggest checking it out if you dont really like yoga.

i need to do something like this! good luck!

Re: Exercise

I think that sounds like a great start as well. The more you become comfortable exercising, your future goals will start to fall into place.

However, while counting calories is annoying, losing weight REALLY depends on your diet. You could be working out to your heart's content, and unless you're also watching what you're eating, you won't see results. This doesn't mean you have to go crazy restricting your diet or anything, but just making sure you're eating heathly, unprocessed foods - lots of protein and greenery!

Good luck
