... BIL's little friend keeps trying to talk to me (hes 12)... I just put my profile back online after having it offline for like 2 months lol this kid is the sole reason that i went offline... lol he messages me everyday... hes so annoying...

maybe... he kept offering to help me pack when we were moving... BIL and his other friend are playing video games and the kid is standing watching me pack...

honestly my impression is that he might be gay... lol but it makes more sense that he has a crush! LOL

You can disable Facebook IM. I did after my MIL (bless her) IMed me EVERY TIME I was on Facebook.

OK, I'm confused. In your initial post did you mean you deleted your entire profile so he would stop IMing you? That's what I thought you meant.

You can disable Facebook IM but I don't think you can block a user. It's been awhile but I also believe you can appear to be offline so that no one IMs you ... I don't have FB at work so I can't check.

no i didnt delete my profile... you can go offline and online... the only time someone can im you is when youre profile is online... you can go offline but then i dont get automatic notifications, i have to refresh the page

on the bottom right corner if you open up the box that lists everyone thats online there is an option to go offline.

Just ignore it. That's what I do when people I don't want to talk to FB IM me

Honestly, mostly I keep FB open on my computer but I'm not always there so a lot of times I just miss the IM altogether.

Set up privacy lists and then you can pick and choose who you want to be 'online' for. I had it disabled for months because this girl would IM me the second I went on and I had no interest in talking to her at all. I just went online for the first time yesterday and put her in a 'block' list along and it will show me as being offline for her but I'll be online for everyone else.

Y im offline on FB -IM all of the time & I get immediate notifications.
