Family drama has me sad today!

Some of you might remember I posted the other day about my cousin yelling at my mom. Well it blew up into this whole big thing!
My mom is one of four sisters, two older, one younger. Well, when the drama happened it flew thru the family like the speed of sound!
Well, most of it has been settled, but the ramifications have been bad.

My cousins mother (my aunt, my mothers sister) and my mom finally spoke, well they are going to be keeping their distance, because, well, in a nutshell my cousin would cut her mother out of her life if she doean't 'take her side'
It's sad becasue my mom feels like she lost a sister, my sister and I lost and aunt and DD has lost her grandmother (my aunt has always been like a g-ma to DD and DD calls her g-ma)

The tension has been around for a bout a year now, but I never thought it would come to this.

My cousin is mad at my sister and myself, why did she have to drag the aunts into it. I am upset with her for ruining relationships that have nothing to do with the 'real' drama.

Sorry so long, but I just needed to get it off of my chest.

Awwww Ryan sorry to hear about the family baloney. It's sad when a family member has to resort to pressuring relatives to support/choose their side of an argument. What an uncomfortable and shi!ty situation.

awww Ryan, drama is in everyone's family, I know it doesn't help, but hang in there, this to shall pass. I feel so bad for your DD, you were just telling me on the phone last week about how many grandma's she has and how lucky she is!

ryan i totally feel u on this. we had a similiar situation a few years back & things still aren't entirely the same on my cousins end. Luckily we've all moved on but she's always a little awkward - really because i think she feels like an idiot! but hugs i'm so sorry u're going through this. some people just dont see the fact that ur FAMILY. she'll regret it down the road...

Oh Ryan I am sorry your family has tension...i have cousins I don't even talk to...one i never even met...but i have my reasons and i have so many wonderful friends who are more like family than they ever were...hope it gets better for all of you!!!!!

Ryan, that just stinks...why do people have to be that way! The sad part is that DD is the one who loses out, because how do you explain to a little girl why someone in her life decides arbitrarily not to speak to her anymore?

Call me if you need to vent! ...but later than our usual conversation....I make up for the lost sleep on the weekends!
