Fashion question for VEGAS-to get my hoe on or not lol

Ok so i wear boring classic clothing-my ofice is conservative so I shop at Ann Taylor and in general because of growing up in the Bronx where girls let ti all hang out, I don't lol. Reverse psychology and all.

I have NEVER owned a mini skirt, I have never worn a plunging neckline or backless number. In general I am put together and look good but I fit right into suburbia. BUT... I know Vegas anything goes.

I know DH doesn't wnat to dress up but do you think its ok if I do if we go out to a show (seeing Mystere)? Nothing too over the top but I am eyeballing a black tiered halter mini dress from Forever 21...I never wear sexy clothes so should I spend the bucks or not?

Its not even THAT sexy a dress but its better than my usual florals and knee hems lol.



I like this but dont think my build will look right-too much hip for it to hang but I'll try and see.

I think it's perfectly fine, and forever21, it's probably not tooo I hope! I would totally do it! Try to get your DH to do at least pants and a button down and you'll be fine, the girl can totally be more dressed up! Enjoy yourself!!

ETA: I like both but think the black is more vegas at nighttime!!

Thanks girls. He doesn't want to hit any clubs because he HATES dancing so I know I won't get the chance to dress up then but I figure its our anniversary trip-should be fun. Hopefully they have the black one in the store.

I have a dress from last year I never wore-from whitehouse black market. From new years but never wore it caus I got sick. tags were on it till recently BUT I am heavier now so it doesnt fit right.

i think both are absolutely adorable....the black one is hott - sexy but not slutty....i always say if u let one thing hang out, cover the other..(ie: the 'girls' are gonna be flaunted so no need to show the stomach the legs AND the bootaay)...i think the black would be great if u plan on going to a few of the nicer casinos...

the yellow one, absolutely ADORABLE...pick up a pair of high black pointy pumps/peep-toes & u'll be hot to trot

Thanks Taryn. I like the yellow because its effortless but I'm really wide through the hip in comparison to my waist and sometimes this tyle pulls on me funny. I have to try it on but wanted to get the peanut gallery's opinion first lol.

Hey Jenn seriously, the black one is the way to go, it will be PERFECT for a show (and maybe dinner???) You'll get a ton of ADMIRING stares and DH will know he's with a hottie, which is all that matters.
Its also a VERY sophisticated looking dress, so don't feel 'funny' - its elegant and chic.

I'm going to vote THUMBS DOWN on #2, and I'll tell you why, in no particular order

--it looks like 'maternity chic' to me, and your cute little figure will be gobbled up in it; people might even ask when you're due, which would be a TOTAL downer....

-- Those rounded colllars really P*SS me off, I seriously think they look like an homage to Bozo, you know?

-- The color leaves me kind of 'meh' -- maybe I just love you so much in black/pinks/reds/corals that yellow is just 'ok'? I don't know.

So that's my $0.02 on the fashion front!! But you'll look gorgeous no matter what you wear as you know!!!!!!

I know what you mean, I am in the same boat..DH doesn’t like to dress up, doesn’t like to dance, I also shop at Ann Taylor and have a Bronx –Washington Heights background that makes me want to keep my self on check and always trying to make sure not to cross that line… However, having a taste of both worlds I’m sure we know the difference of sexy trashy and sexy sexy. These dresses you show are both sexy and dressy and I would say go for it

I always try to do it when I have the chance but like you I may end up wit a dress that I might not wear again because with DH there are not many opportunities. Maybe, you can try to have him dress up just a bit and you can be a fabulous couple.
Sometimes I try too but don’t always get my wish.

Jenn, if you think THOSE are 'hoe'-y dresses then you've totally not seen what some chicks wear!

I think the black dress is sexy but not slutty and perfect for a show in vegas and hopefully dinner afterwards (we love The Top of The World restaurant at the top of the Stratosphere).

Ok Update... They idnt have the black dress, I DID look HUGELY preggers (think 7 motnhs aldies) in the yellow dress which they only had in purple btw AND the store was a mess and i had an experience with LOOOONg lines that amde me tell the woman in front of me her name must rhyme with witch... (LONG story) So yes i am back now, dressless and disgruntled....No clue where to go frrom here for a dress. Sugegstions? Pity? lol

I've been the hoe lol before..16 year old hoe..never good with the shorts to your hey nonnie nonnie and the tube top below your boobs and then you get PISSED when cars honk at you..Ah youth!
