Yes I agree...and no
When you are posting your favorite weddings of OTHER people~totally cool.
But when you can tell peoples feelings are getting hurt and they are 'nominating' themselves.....it should stop. KWIM?

I agree its a spin but thats if people are posting others wedding things....if they are posting their own then its no different then the post your flowers thread

I thought one of the posts was specifically for posting your OWN details and so I did, then later I thought about it and was like ummmm shouldn't these all be other brides? So I edited - I hear that part. It would be easier, I say, if each post started with 'post your favorite ___ of another LIWer and you CANNOT post your own item' or whatever. We've seen posts like that and they've been fine. I would hate to think someone's offended although I'm sure it's likely to occur regardless.

I hear ya, it just seemed like all of a sudden people were posting themselves and saying 'i nominate me' and it just seemed out of color ya know for the type of threads they are. I totally voted my pics the best so I am guilty as charge but others seemed to be getting upset that they werent listed at all.

I have to agree too .... I was confused because I thought the whole idea of the 'game' was to post your favorite things from OTHER girl's weddings ....

Right, but people started obviously getting upset and posting themselves and then it just went downhill...if we are going to post our own flowers, etc. then make a thread 'post your...' I just think these threads tend to get messy at some point b/c people get personally offended.

Me I could give a shiit less if someone like anything about my wedding or not...I loved my wedding and no one here could say whether it was memorable or not b/c they werent there.

I can actually see people getting upset over that. It seemed like the same 10 or 15 girls were voted for everything over and over again. Meanwhile theres hundreds of newlyweds reading it, like....***?? Is this a popularity contest?? I participated myself but now Im starting to feel bad about it

I think it's sad that some people read into that way. I didn't see it that way at all. I don't think complimenting someone else is a insult to people that were not complimented. Plus it's all just opinions my beautiful may be your ugly and your ugly my beautiful.

Of course people said they loved their dress, flowers, pics........ they picked them it was what they wanted. I think the threads were all a bit of fun that some people took to heart when pics from their wedding were not posted. I also think it has a lot to do with the fact that some people post their pics more often so we are more inclined to remember them. I have seen 100's of dresses I loved and commented to the brides how great they looked but I can't remember every single one.

Awwwwwe Yea I understand. I just started feeling really crappy that I participated and then realized there were some people thinking w t f....why didnt they mention me ??!!

But I think PeteysBride did a great job in keeping us busy and it WAS fun to think about. And I totally agree there are some ladies you see their pics much more often so it just sticks in your brain! I know I have a horrible memory so Im sure theres dozens of amazing brides I forgot to bring up
