RSVP:
1. coming yes or no
2. your location (so we can find a central place)
3. vote on dinner or drinks, or both.

if you have a location recommendation - shout it out!

edited to add: I'll be in Commack, and I think I'd prefer just drinks (more social if we're not sitting).

Claud, we Suffolk gals can carpool like we've done before.

Im not really familar with Long Island, approximately what exit is Huntington on the Southern State, I would be coming from Queens.

Isn't Happy Hour from 4-7? I wouldn't be able to make it to Huntington until 7-7:30, the earliest! But drinks sound like fun ... I will definitely do my best to meet up with all of you!

Re: Feb GTG - Friday, Feb 7th

There's generally parking available in the municpal lot in front of Finleys.

I think 4pm is going to be too early for most. Lets say 6:30 - 7? Its right after work, but maybe we'll miss the happy hour crowd. If anyone wants to get there earlier, I can be there.

Whats a good bar choice?

as for exits off the SS, I'm not sure. I've never taken the SS to Huntington...anyone?

This was just one option that seemed to work well for most folks. Sounds like we're got people coming from Queens to Coram, so its not going to be most convenient for everyone, but its somewhat central.

If you have other ideas, lets hear those too.

6:30PM works for me.

I think Huntington is a good idea - like Lisa said, it's the most central being that some of us will be coming from Queens/NYC and some from out East.

Lisa, now that you mention it, what about Finley's? Is that the one with the really nice deck? (not that we'll be outside anytime soon!)

As for directions from SS, I'm not sure of the exit, but you could get off at Rt 110, and head ALL the way north to the village of Huntington. Most of the bars are just a block south of 25A.

drinks? whats that??

haven't had drinks in a LOOONG time I am sure we are going to have some finger food too as we need to be carful on how we all get home afterwards

Will try to attend- huntington works fine for me as I am in Long Beach..and going anywhere requires some driving ....

630-7p also works better...will try to attend since I missed out on all the fun last time!

boosh .... coming from queens, you would take Northern State or LIE ... that's the easiest ...

I'm in for drinks ... there are some good places in Huntington that aren't crowded ... Red something ... on New York ave ... oooh I can't remember the name! We've been there a few times, and its a nice place & can easily accomodate a large group.

do you have the phone number for Finley's. I can call them and get directions. Thanks everyone!!

Another suggestion for a more mid-Nassau location is Garden City ... BK Sweeney's on Franklin Ave (more Garden City Park really) is good. Food & Drinks & not too crowded .... easily accesible to the parkways also.

Sweeney's is great too - and it's closer to my house! LOL Seriously though, either one, it doesn't matter to me.

Teri ... I'm a little partial to Sweeney's myself ... I'm like Claud ... not a HUGE fan of Hungtington, but I'd go. It seems like there are quite a few girls from queens, tho!

Please count me in too! After moving I'm sure I'll need a drink or two.
