Feeling icky..

So after 7 years of being on the pill I finally decided it was enough. I figured Id lose a few pounds , but instead I gained five in the month I have been off of it. I feel fat and gross and to top it off I haven;t gotten AF and its been 40 days!!!! I know your cycle gets messed up after you go off of it, but ICK ICK ICK.

I have been eating healthy and Im thinking if Im gaing weight NOW, the holidays are going to KILL me.

Anyone else going through something similar?

Well I went off the pill almost 2 years ago because of all the terrible side effects it had on me. After I went off it took well over 40 days for AF to come and I felt terrible that whole time. But slowly I started to feel better and the weight gain levelled off and I lost it again easily. Now I feel sooo much better then when I was on it, so hang in there, you will feel better soon

Jen, I'm sorry you're feeling icky. I went off it last month after 10 years on it and have been breaking out more and feel bloated, but thankfully AF came 26 days later (actually earlier), we'll see what happens this month.

Hope AF comes soon....I'm sure the weight will drop.

I am sorry you are not feeling so great Jen! I planned on going off in March, but I am starting to think I might go off next month! I have gained some weight after the wedding & no matter what I am doing, I can't seem to loose it! I think it is time to come off 8 years later!

I know that there will be side effects of coming off of it & I am not ready for it, but it has to be done!

Keep your head up

Sorry Jen, that stinks. I went off it too because I couldn't stand it anymore, astonishingly, I got my first non-pill period in 29 days. I have had no real side effects except horrible cramps and nausea when I got my period. If my cycle stays regular I should see AF again in about a week, we'll see.

I was on the pill for 5 years but went off it about 2.5 years ago because on my hyperactive thyroid. It took AF a month to come back.

Put the weight gain as 'You're Married now Chica!!'

I went off after 6 years in July. But I got pregnant the first month off the pill. I didn't think I would, but lo and behold I did.

Could you be pregnant??

i fear ever going off the pill! I get so much pain it makes me sick for 2 days.. i went off for a month last yr (i messed up my pills, and needed to make up a month.. FH was deployed).. ohhhhh my gosh... i dont know how i am ever going off to have kids... i thought by now i would have grown out of the pain... my mom had the same issue, i asked her when they stopped, she said after her 1st kid!... that was NOT the answer i was looking for!.

Well, maybe your body just needs to adjust and I am sure that you will feel better soon.

It would freak me out not getting my period, I guess I was lucky getting pg right away.

Although, as of now, we are one and done since I am not a fan of pregnancy!
