feet

so, I was out sick for a freaking week with coxsackie. Yeah yeah, I know - 'adults don't get coxsackie.' Bulsh!t - they do & it suucks.

ANYWAY, I thought I was completely healed but.... My hands & feet are PEELING. Not like, oh I had a sunburn peel, but like THICK lizard-like peeing. Like as if I burnt my hands on an iron. So effing nasty. This is the disease that never ends.

I'm sorry, C, but this bout you've had sounds like something out of a Charles Dickens' tale.

So now you have like, leprosy???? How are you even WORKING through this?????? ?

its mostly a childhood disease - like the chicken pox. It used to be called 'Hand Mouth & Foot disease' but some idiot thought coxsackie was easier to say

Ella brought it home from daycare. She had it for like a day & gave it to me & I had it for a week. First you get a very high fever. Then you think you might have the flu. Then you get the hand mouth & foot part. You get these shooting pains, like shingles. Then you get these bumps, like chicken pox on your hands & feet. Then they blister. And you get them in your mouth & throat & you can't eat or swallow. Its effing disgusting. And like the chicken pox, the older you are when you get it - the worse it is.

Is it like the chicken pox in that if you had it you can't get it again?

If I had that sickness I would hope I would lose at least 15 pounds. I might as well look good if I had to go through all that.

Howling - YES, I am an effing leper!!! I just came back to work yesterday after getting the dr's approval. I was out for a week! I'm not contagious anymore but my hands look disgusting. Its just my palms & bottoms of my feet. Thick skin is peeling off where the blisters where. Blech!

you KNOW... I was hoping for that. But it didn't happen. I guess since I only ate ice cream for a week, my plan failed.

Speaking of which, has anyone tried Ben & Jerry's Magic Brownies ice cream? Dayyyyum that was good!
